Ohh yeah I'm in the market for a sliding back window too LOL why do people always choose the most expensive piece of glass to break? okay. next time you lock yourself out and have to break a window, break one window out of your doors. doesn't matter if it's a vent or the full window. they are abundantly available for cheap or free, whereas you pretty much cannot replace the center slider from factory. on the next note, you now have to pay a professional to remove your sliding rear window :headpop:  so that they can install the new center pane of glass that you should pm me about :brows:
DirtyComanche
I'm with Jeepco about the window. But I'd break the full window over the vent. To change the vent you have to pull the full one, so save time and effort by breaking the easier one to change. Or, better yet, take a coathanger and straigten it other that for a hook on the end, slip it between the window pane and the door skin (pry back the weather stripping to get it in), and snag the lock control rod, then yank it up to unlock the door. A tweaker can do it in about 3 seconds, and I figured out how to do it in about 3 minutes.

I don't remember removing the big window in order to swap out the vents. :hmm: It has been a while though.
Geonovast
I don't think you have to, but it sure makes it easier.
JeepcoMJ
you do have to take the big window off the tracks and unbolt it from the regulator in order to remove the vent window.
