Akula69
I have heard that some folks place the truck on an incline (nose pointing down) and pull the temp sensor (rear of block on drivers side) and allow the air to escape there while they add water to the tank. I'm sure there are other ways as well.
Eagle
I believe the 2.5L radiator has a conventional radiator cap and the overflow bottle IS an overflow bottle. Fill the bottle 1/3 full with new coolant, fill the radiator right up to the neck, install the cap and drive it.

Pete M
I took mine out of the truck and ran the garden hose through it for a while. Might not the best method, but it's what I did.

Might not the best method, but it's what I did. thats how i was taught from an ASE certified (all 8 categories) instructor/shop teacher. pull the t-stat to be sure you get em all out. while your going through the hassle go get a nice t stat. they are only a few bucks and a good thing for the long run. Redramman
I use a prestone flush-n-fill kit in a heater hose don't over tighten the cap on the T for garden hose. I replaced the plastic cap with a brass garden hose cap because I've had problems with the plastic caps top cracking .OR, since rad. is out just wrap or adapt garden hose to lower hose to back flush engine turn on heat to flush that too.
