xj_dummy Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Well I will be joing the Comanche tribe officially on my birthday. I'm picking up a 1986 Comanche tomorrow. So then what grade of diff oil should I get, also Tranny oil (5speed)? Spark plugs work the best? Any other thing that I should know that would be helpfull. Thanks. P.S. Pics coming soon.

shelbyluvv Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 75-90 gear oil for the tranny & axles. What size engine do you have? STOP!!! Do not put 75/90 in your AX-5 it will destroy the syncros! You have to buy some special oil called Syncromesh. It is normally sold at NAPA and is about $10 a quart. If you do use the regular gear oil your trans it will hate you. Happy late B-Day to ya.
