  1. Awesome. I just grabbed one off e-bay. Maybe it will help with my brake lights!
  2. Problem: Brake lights do not work.Need help diagnosing the problem so I can pass vehicle inspection. There may be a few electrical problems, but the critical issue at hand is the brake lights. Truck: 1987 2.5l, AX4 2WD. Symptoms:1) Running lights work. Therefore I assume the ground is good? 2) Turn signals work. They are s..l..o..w.. when the lights are on, normal speed when the lights are off. 3) Turn signal dash lights: When the running lights are on, both signal (little green arrows) are "on" even though the signal is not activated. When the running lights are turned off,the signal indicators function properly (blink as expected). 4) I am missing a few fuses (see pic) but all the shown fuses are in working order. The fuses shown is the way the truck came from PO; i have not touched them, only to verify they are not blown. 5) The brake light switch (see pic) reads 12 volts when the pedal is not depressed. It reads zero volts when pressing the peddle.Where do I go next?
  3. Thanks for the link. I'll get it done tomorrow. Thanks agin.
  4. Ultimate noob question. I was going to change my brake pads, but the Allen 1/4 is too small, the 5/16 is too big. I can't get my head in there to see. What is the right size? I got to go to the store I guess.

  6. Just to close up this thread. The Quadratec liners work pretty good. My carpet is stripped out, wire wheeled, Phosphoric-acid treated, and primed. I use the floor liners as a stop-gap to cover some rust holes on the passenger side until I can do floorboard replacement.
  7. Seems like such a common question, but I couldn't find an answer I know the floorboards are slightly different, but will Cherokee (XJ) liners fit into an MJ? Obviously carpet or thin ones will, but I am interested in those heavy duty contoured/conforming liners which will buy me some time until I replace the floorboards. Here is a link to the Quadratec heavy duty rubber mats. If there is a heaver or better version, I am all ears. Thanks. http://www.quadratec...254_7001_07.htm
  8. Yes, I fear 65 inches is much too wide. Unless a miracle happens which drops a Bronco D44 HP in my lap which matches the width. Otherwise I may consider narrowing it if I can do it cheap enough.
  9. I have a Ford 9" out of an 81 bronco. It's 65 wms-2-wms. I am still contemplating if I will swap.
  10. It seems you are keen on a diesel swap. It would be cool, no doubt. If you want something cheaper, look into Merc OM617 swap. There are a few right ups On the net. I also saw two at the local pick n pull. Seems like a cheaper option if you can get a junkyard engine.
  11. I think that is too high. A home A/C unit (60k BTU is around 5 HP compressor motor). A car unit produces far less BTU.
  12. "Save money compared to what?" In your original post you included cost as your criteria for not pursuing the 4BT swap. Personally, I say go for it. Just make sure you document it here on Comancheclub!!
  13. I'm not sure if you will save money. HPA Motorsports makes some adapters. http://www.hpamotorsport.com/tdijeep.htm
