Someone just gave me a 98 suzuki sidekick sport and none of the power windows work, PO said a friend of his while drunk disconnected something. i have been through(i think) about 90 percent of the wiring and can't find any problems. i was wondering if there was some chance that someone might have an electrical manual for one of these or maybe just know a bit mre about foreign cars than i do. any help would be great as this is the only thing keeping me from making this street legal and saving mileage on my manche. thanks Erik

or you could by my 88 for less than what you would pay for the 92 and then just tell me where it is :brows:

Ok, so my next line of questions is what all needs to be swapped, how hard is this for a moderate wrench and if i can locate one, with the shut off switch for the clutch work from an XJ with any 5spd or does it have to be a ba-10?

so your saying i can just transplant it into my truck but i would have to use the brakes to disengage the CC? isnt there an off switch on the multi function lever?

Can this be done and used with a ba-10? cruise control is currently in an 88 4.0 4x4 aw4, looking to swap it into my 88 4.0 4x4 ba-10/5.

of an MJ that has the rear bumper and tail lights from an XJ, i know i have seen it on here and my search turned up only a pic with the tail lights. thanks Erik

CRF136N, do you have a project thread for that swap? if you do and its a good enough jumping off point, then i would probably go with the swap provided i could find an xj for the right price. I'm assuming you just swapped the whole dash and everything, right?i will continue to hunt for a 91 or 92 MJ in the mean time though but i will sure let you know if i get froggy and jump. :brows:

ok, so i will keep the 3:55's and rather than installing them, i will sell them to finance 4:10's. so that fixes that issue. thats twice you have swayed me from something i thought i was dead set on :cheers: but that doent fix the fact that i want an H.O MJ and the solution i suspect is rather than trying to make the swap, just try to find one that i can actually obtain.

i already yhave 31's and i already have the 3:55's. after i got rid of my last set of 4:10's i seartched and turned up nothing before i decided 3:55's were for me. but regardless of gears i still want the H.O. I know that eventually i want to go to 6 inches or so of lift and go to 33's in which case I'm sure the 4:10's would be more beneficial especially now that i know i can run at highway speeds with the 4:10 comfortably.

sorry, I'm multitasking and confusing myself a little, basically i want to be able to run at 70 mph without breaking anything. i figured 3:55's would just be the best gear for me. ;)

I had some 4:10's but i wanted something a little more highway friendly.

I have some 3:55's in my parts truck i planned on utting in which would be a big step up from my 3:07's. But if i had an H.O along with the better geart then it would be that much better.

yup, for the most part. also like i said with the larger aftermarket i have more options.

More aftermarket for it. I'm cosnstantly finding people with newer 4.0 parts and not so many renix.

believe me if i had the funds i would, especially that one in pieces in VA. Perfect for me. or if someone wanted to trade me one that would be cool too.What about the fuel system is different? Maybe Alex(grs86mj) would still want to swap.J/K, in case anyone remembers that drawn out ordeal.

The whole kit n kaboodle, i want to ditch the renix & ba/10 for the HO & ax15.
