  1. Look at the other shots then check out my photo album. I sent an e-mail to him to see where he made the cut
  2. Looks the same to me???
  3. Got to go with JeepcoMJ on this. If you were going to cut and weld on an MJ rear to your 99 XJ you would add a little on to it to give some more space. Something would look a LITTLE different :hmm: Why go to all the work just to have an standard MJ :hmm: Yes with changing out the front body items and the dash I would say that the front 1/2 is a XJ and the back 1/2 is a MJ if I was going to sale it. Did anyone one ask him if it was a cut and weld??? When soneone asks about our MJ I tell them it's a 92.5 Mutt Jeep With all the parts in it from 86 to 98 the average comes out to 92.5. And it has more XJ parts in it then MJ parts  Well as I think about it it has more Explorer parts in it then MJ parts :hmm:
  4. That Chrysler is in bankruptcy and will never make any thing. The new Chrysler is owned by Fiat and a green thinking government that wants fuel efficient autos and wants to meet CAFE standards. And now that GM is owned me our green thinking government they also will be building the green autos of tomorrow that Mr Obama wants all of us to drive :shake: Now that the government is into building autos look for our old autos to be taxed by a new carbon tax so they can force us to buy new cars from them :ack:

The last time we were in that hole and watched them drag our dead crew through the streets from our Blackhawk that went down, we should have paved over the county. Now is no different, they have NO respect for life!!! :USAflag:
  7. Thanks, Everything I have found is the Auto to manual swap. From what I have found out is trans, PCM, steering column and linkage :wall: What I do not know is if the wiring, t-case computer,Cruise cont unit, memory unit and tempture unit needs also needs to be changes also  Looks like I am going to have to replace my Ranger :(
  8. Not going out on the trails with it, towing the trailer so IFS is no big deal  Got 3 other Jeeps for that
  9. I would be open to a WK  And yes I know about the 318 :brows: We have a 95 ZJ with a 318 that is my wifes. I have been trying to talk her into getting something else and give it to me to tow with  but not much luck :( She is giving me crap about taking it for a drive with the trailer to see how it pulls it :wall:
  10. If I could find a no rust MJ with a supercab that was as solid as the day it drove off the factory floor that I could buy for around $1,000 I would  But I will only get that deal in my dreams :( Now if someone had a 98+ ZJ with a v-8 I might trade :brows:
  11. Looking for someone who works on Rangers, a LOT. I know how smart Jeep was when they made it so easy to swap a ax5 for a aw4, but by chance was FORD as smart with the Ranger :hmm: I love my Ranger but with my new trailer I have to shift all the time and wish I had an auto in it more then ever now :ack: Sure hope it's the same as doing the MJ
  12. Sorry about the loss, Cat people around, ask Wildman :D , our first cat is now 10 yrs old and loves to lay on my lap. then Becky is 9yrs old and is my cat big time.
  13. The topic was about a MJ and the price, yes maybe I should have checked but in 2 1/2 years CC has always been a family friendly site that I could view w/o worry but over the past few weeks looks like I have to view as I do most other forums :shake: And yes, I work in a govt computer center so yes big bro is always looking 8)
  14. No problem, just stuck looking at CNN all day at work :ack: Forums have been a no no for a while but have been running under the radar but the link set off the hounds on me:wall:
  15. Um, thanks, JT. I opened the link with my 12 year old daughter looking over my shoulder... Did you not read the big red letters there big guy? Yes, seen the big red letters but we were talking about the price of a MJ being sold :shake: Well forums are now off limits at work as they will be blocked soon :( so looks like it's good bye as computer time at home is limited with the kids :wall:
  16. You know, when you put a link like that jtdesigns you need to post more of a notice of where it's going  I bet by the end of the day big brouther will have CC club blocked so I cannot access from work :wall:
  17. You need to drive with it down for 2 tanks and up with 2 tanks and see what you get. Then if you get better get a tonneau or rear net. Have had several pick-up over the years and found 2 that got better with the tail gate down. Both were full size and short beds. 88 Ranger long bed = no difference 92 GMC 2500 short bed = 2gal difference - got a tonneau cover 93 Dakota short bed = no difference 96 Ram 1500 short bed = 4 gal difference - got a cap and lost 1 mph 99 S-10 short bed = no difference 00 F-150 short bed = no difference 93 Ranger Super Cab short bed = no difference 89 MJ = have not checked The Ram was the one with the most difference. Around home it's about 70/30 with most being open road ( Wildman can tell you :D ). Did make a trip out to NJ with it to pick up a engine once and drove out with the gate down on the way out and with it up on the way back. The only difference the 305 in the bed and took almost 3/4 of a tank more on the way back :hmm: and no we had no headwind blowing to drive into

This is our other hobby :D Camping is also part of this hobby for my son, but I have to come home for the night as my old bones would not work the next day if I were to sleep on the ground :rotfl2:
  24. About every 3 months on the local news you see an 8 yr old that was killed after a street racer hit the car he was in or a 17 yr old on her way to work is killed or a 36 yr old mother is on her way home and gets mowed down in the crosswalk do to someone not man enough to take it to the track So , no I have no sense of fun and excitement for someone that has not matured enough to be driving that they have to race on the street when they could go to the track :shake: Now take me to Mid-Ohio or National trails and the race is on
  25. Then you definitely should not watch this video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 8986110252 They should have run over him at the end :shake:
