  1. Haha yea It is a auto! I guess that was a important piece of info to leave out. Is the AW4 a good trans in your opinion? whats the life span of one? rebuild cost? and what kind of power can they handle. If mine is stock is has 100k on it. Sometime I catch it shudder shifting into overdrive or the last gear which every one it is and sometime it will down shift kinda hard into 1st but its every once in a while. I also just got in a flexalite trans cooler with a B&M temp gauge, I ordered them because I got a 100$ gift card to summit from my brother and I didnt know if the shifting slip ups every once in a while were because It was getting warm, the trans fluid looks clean and full also. also I think I wen over kill on the cooler its pretty big, Is there a such thing a over cooling for a trans? Here is a link to the cooler Its dementions are 20 x 7.5 x .750 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FLX-4120/ Here is a picture of the cooler I got
  2. I have a pacesetter header, generic 2.5 inch high flow cat, and 2.5 single in single out magnaflow muffler to a 45 degree dump. I love the tone it has its lower pitched and less raspy than a flow master but I just wish mine was a little loudler, I wish to go to a shorter magnaflow in the future so I will prob post mine for sell on here soon here is the muffler http://performance-curve.com/search.aspx?find=11216 here is the cat http://performance-curve.com/search.aspx?find=410250
  3. Its a 1988 mj that has been converted to 4wd, has a 4.0 in it with a np231j transfer case in it. Also What years where the n231j produced and whats the benefits of it over a np231. I know for sure the back dana 35 is out of a xj, so I'm sure the rest of the drive-train swap was also, I don't know if it is the original trans though, I also have a power shift button and it does work. I know the 4.0 is original, the casting had 88 written on it. the mj came from Canada and has no AC stock and a block warmer and has kph, Celsius, and oil bar pressure gauges also.
  4. Holy crap! I wish I could afford to put that terra 2 low in it, I might as well just get a dana 300 and adapter plate for that price
  5. I am learning to believe that mine is a woman at the age of meta-pause, she has hot flashes, needs plastic Surgery, is running like S*** one day, and Running like a champ the next.....
  6. Whats the word on some coozies I want one so bad, Also the ones that have magnets in them would be awesome too!!! And are shirts still available?
  7. This is a web site that some guy set up with is responses from craigslist adds. I will let the link do the rest of the talking! HAHA The comanche quest! http://dontevenreply.com/view.php?post=107
  8. Well after paying for the radiator I got a email from jc whitney that said that it was out of stock and they would refund my money, so I just ordered it again from thepartsbin.com for about 205 with a coupon code
  9. well I just bought the cfs 3 row radiator form jc Whitney, they had it at the cheapest price with a discount code shipped for 197.22 and I ordered the Napa 272310 fan clutch. for about 46.00. I also just sat out side with the truck Idling at 90 degree out side temps and It took about 25 mins before it got to the 3/4 mark. 1/4 past normal and 1/4 until overheating.... I really hope this fixes the issues. I checked the oil after I got done running it is it was till very clear and very light brown, I have about 30 miles on it since a oil change, and a few drips of liquid came out of the exhaust for about 10 tens after starting it and then it stopped, It had no smell at all.and it still runs normal. So Is this still any possibility of a head gasket failure or is that 100% rules out?
  10. Do you have the part number for the zj or is it the same one as the napa one? Also how much clearance do you have between the fan and radiator?
  11. This is what I found on radiator barn. only all metal one is a 3 row and it is $230... https://www.radiatorbarn.com/search.php ... =radiator#
  12. Excellent info! that is what I'm looking for. I will be checking out radiator barn. Thanks!
  13. I need a good radiator, someone please refer me one.
  14. also It says it is not compatible with a Cherokee or Mj
  15. Could you explain how it is a upgrade and if it has clearance issues with the radiator with iron man motor mounts
  16. Well I don't know because this is the first time I have driven it in 100+ degree heat around town. I drove it a few moths a go in 80 degree heat and It didnt over heat ever. However it did tend to get pretty warm and close to overheating on the beach in very soft sand and in 4x4/
  17. so after thinking about it I decided to go ahead and put a new fan clutch and radiator. know my question is should I get the stock 1 core or is a 3 core better. ALSO what about transmission lines? I just ordered a flex a lite trans cool and B&M trans gauge to make sure I never over heat the trans. I new to know what to look out for and What I need when getting a new radiator that will work with the trans cooler too.
  18. I just picked up my 88 mj from the exhaust shop and got the exhaust all buttoned up, new header cat and muffler, on the way home it was a notch over normal on the high way. when I got in stop and go traffic the temp started climing slowly. I need to get this fixed asap.it almost got into the red. I have a brand new flowkooler water pump on it along with new hoses new overflow bottle, High flow thermostat, thermostat housing, and I has been flushed. The only thing that has not been replaced is the radiator and the fan clutch. When I rev the engine, the fan clutch seems as if it is catching... Could this be a head gasket issue also? seems to be running normal, however I dropped it off at the muffler shop with a open header on it, they welded on the high flow cat and magnaflow muffler and I felt a good loss of power after that was welded on... So know I need yalls opinions. Also I need to find a radiator to buy at a good price that is a upgrade from the stock one row, and how much beet will it cool the engine. And I need the same suggestion for a flan clutch. I would like to upgrade from stock if possible the mj is a 1988 auto 4.0 and has 101,000 miles
  19. Posted in the wrong section sorry. Mod could you please delete this.

  25. So I have a 1988 jeep Comanche that Has been converted to 4x4 with Cherokee axles, I have a np231 and a Auto trans but not sure which one. The jeep has 6-7 inches of lift in the rear and has a custom made aluminum drive shaft. I just put on iron man motor mounts and a new trans mount and now the seal around the slip yolk shaft is leaking so while I'm already Going to have to fix it I figured I would go ahead and do a Sye. So here are my questions How much is it going to cost? Where should I order from? How hard is it to install? Is the hack n tap worth doing? What are yalls thoughts on a hack and tap? What kind of drive shaft am I going to need? Can I use the from drive shaft from a 07 4 door jk? ( I might be able to get one for free) And last, I plan on swapping a ford 8.8 in in the Near future, will the drive shaft I get for the Sye be long/short enough for the 8.8? Thanks in advance for the help.
