  1. Next it was on to install the new Durango steering box. This box is a bit bigger and beefier and just needs some sort of spacer to bolt right up. I also got a steering box brace and but it on also. The same time I did this I installed the new power steering pump, lines, and bracket.
  2. I'm not a big fan of those. I was looking for something more low profile.
  3. I got the paint in last week and it matches great.
  4. So I need a tool box in the mj to hold extra parts, tools ext. However I do not want one of the tradional ones that sit in the back of the bed. I have a fishing pole rack that I have rigged up there and It works good. I have seen the fender well tool boxes and I was wondering if anybody has had experiance with putting them in a mj. The ones I have looked at seem to be to big. I would like it to not stick up past the bed line. I would ever pefer on that sits in the wheel well on the passanger side between the rear window and wheel, but have found nothing like this. Any way just looking to get some input on it. If I can't find exactly what I want I will probably just build one. not sure how I would do the lid though. Wish I had a sheet metal bender.... Here are some picture to get a better idea of what I'm talking about. fishing rack Tool box style that I think would work good. But I want one in this spot. or the full length of the bed.
  5. After you did that and put fresh oil in, how did the vehicle run and feel? Noticeable power regains?
  6. We'll the paint on the truck already looks like $#!& Anyway. I'm just looking for something that looks remotely the same to cover up the paint that is chipping away and exposing the bondo...
  7. So jealous of the poster!!!!! That would be awesome in my garage!
  8. Well I finally got around to messing with the beer fridge and it looks like y'all were right! Started to tear it apart and there was a tone of ice under the freezer bottom tray. Started pulling out the panels and chipping the ice away and I found the drain hole. It's clogged and iced up. So I'm going to let it defrost and drink a cold whiskey and coke and them blow the line out with my compressor air gun. Thanks to you guys ill be back drinking cold beer and working on the mj again in no time! Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
  9. well I finally just orderd this paint can from paintscratch.com. Ill let yall know how it turns out. I got the basecoat and a clear coat. with shipping cost me over $50.00
  10. What about the ring gear size and strength. I thought that's the main thing to look at. That's the upgrade of this axle. I did think it was a hp though. And since I would have to put a different carrier and what not in there I would prob keep the air locker then. Also as stated I would be spending a lot less by getting a real d44 if I could find one. I have been searching for weeks. The only one I have found is a waggy d44 bare housing, no knuckles or anything and the guy wants 300 and I'm not going to do that. The only other option I have is to get a full size d44 and have it narrowed and get wheel adapters ect. I really don't want to do that either.
  11. Why won't the drive shaft?
  12. So I found a deal on Craigslist for a tj rubicon front dana 44. The guy wants 1250 for it. I am thinking of getting it and selling the air locker to my brother for his jk for $500-600? Any way what do y'all think. It should bolt right up to my 88 mj right? I don't want the air locker cause I just want to keep it simple and run lunch box lockers. My dana 30 is in bad shape and needs work. I have been looking for a waggy 44 but can't find one anywhere. Plus this rubi 44 is geared to 4.10s and I just swapped in a 8.8 in the Rear that is 4.10s, so that helps me from having to rear a axle.
  13. Ok thanks guys. Ill try that tonight.
  14. I have a beer fridge in my garage that I picked up off of Craigslist a few years ago and it has always worked great. I believe it is a hot point. Anyway to get to my point, the past couple weeks I have been coming out side to find pools of water on the lowest tray. I though a water bottle as leaking or something. I pulled all the beverages out of it and cleaned it and sure enough the next day had another pool of water. We'll today I grabbed a beer out of it and it kicked on and started to drip water pretty aggressivly from the top of the fridge. I put a bowl up under it to catch the water. So my question is, what's wrong with it? Can I fix it? It still cools and freezes great though. I have attached pictures of where it is leaking from and the fridge to be able to see what model it is or what ever to someone that knows about them. Some help would be great! And sorry for any typos this is coming from my phone. Fat fingers and small keys don't work to well. Image Not Found Image Not Found

  16. ooohhhhh this sucks to hear you are still having problems. I don't know what else to tell you besides start replacing new components....... like the radiator is where I would start.. maybe a CFS 3 row...
  17. My speedo cable broke and I'm having trouble finding a new one. Could someone help me out to track one down or atleast find the OEM part number. It needs to be for a 1988 mj 4.0 auto 4x4 non cruise I need the whole assembly.
  18. yes the mount is a little tweaked it has always been like that. and how do I check the unit bearings?
  19. Not that I know of. How would I check? I have already replaced the Uni hub with the bearing in it. Yes I have spacers and everything was lock tighten and torqued. everything is tight and there is no play in the tire if you try to shake it around while jacked up.
