budget lift question
89Comanche4x4 replied to 89Comanche4x4's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
so basically without having to order them online. -
So I'm working on my lift for my comanche, so far ive gotten 4.5" lift coils and upper and lower rubicon express arms for $100 did a SOA with a Chrysler 8.25 axle. made the rear shocks work. found some extended brake lines off of other cars but i was wondering if anyone knows where i could get some front shocks, or what vehicle would fit my comanche for my 5.5 inch lift?

post a link to the website

I've got some questions for my SOA for anyone who can answer them. 1. My brother gave me his 8.25 out of his 98 Cherokee and I was wondering if it will bolt right up? I will change the shock mounts but do I need to change the pinion angle? 2. What should I do about the driveshaft? -

ive been busy driving around to school and finals and shopping so i havent got to much done hit 260 the other day although theres no where near that on the 98 engine. mocked up the bumper still need new mounts, decided I'm going to do it beefier and right. my brother mocking up his 8.8. and now my 8.25 that is fully out now. gotta paint it and move shock mounts. thanks TYLERJY for the upper and lower rubicon express control arms and 4.5" lift coils!! can't wait gonna be sweet -

Oh really i never heard that. I'm sure there will be a protest or something because everyone goes there to wheel! yeah that would be sweet. Well if you need some help installing it let me know! i can also give you a sub box and you can buy a 100 dollar amp 50 dollar sub and 30 dollar wiring if you want, would sounds great. take a look on the good ol craisglist something always pops up, saw a 98 xj a while ago side swiped a tree and was 600 bucks! running too. to get the driveshaft lengthend will only be around $100. i got some updates coming up -

as you saw i the pics i took mine to stave as well, pretty fun, 4x4 definetly helps... the cherokee would be the way to go for the 4x4 swap for sure!! way easier. and yeah thats sounds good i have most of the tools to get it done and if you had a parts cherokee we could get it done in a day or two!! sounds good. yep new deck amp and sub are in, bought a 10 dollar plug from best buy and sodered it together and then done! pretty simple. its a sick truck just needs 4x4! -

Ah hello! Small world indeed! Yep it took a lot of work about a month and she was good to go! A lot of wrenching! Haha too funny I was just leaving and I saw it and parked beside it for fun went in to talk to my friends about how the exam went and came back out and you were gone! I was wondering if you had seen it or not. Oh that's good we never got the call about it so we assumed you fixed it. I saw the 2" spacers up front when I took a look at it, looks good! But still 2wd :( where's the link to your build? That's gonna look awesome! I gotta get going on mine. Will do! -
