  1. I was lucky, as mine came with all the factory skids, but the dang nutzerts for the gas tank skid are all broke off and its a real PITA to put that thing in place anyway. With a lift or with some 'lift' it would be immensely eaiser. I suppose i was a bit misleading by saying that, to be honest i have zero intention of ever going airborne in my MJ, i only used that as a mental image to convey that i want to build something very tough. I absolutely agree 100% that if i did intend on jumping it, trussing would be very high on my list.
  2. Damn.
  3. Comanche. Eliminator. . . . . lol :teehee: That idea actually hit me a few weeks ago, but i thought it was old news.
  4. This has always been in the back of my mind and someday i might even do it. But something that i have always questioned was if you are going to go to the trouble of dropping an SBC in there why the heck not make it a party by making it into a 383? Same package as a 350, twice the punch. And another thing, if you have an AX-15 behind it you shouldnt have to much to worry about, should you? Unless this is a track car, i would tend to think it would be just fine, at least for a while. Anyway, if your gonna do it, do a 383. :rock on: EDIT: http://jalopnik.com/5574093/holy-toledo-its-a-sbc-comanche-for-3900
  5. Uuuh, thats is just beautiful.
  6. Arent LJs super rare in the states? :hmm:
  7. Nice. :rotf:
  8. transmission mount? :dunno:
  9. Are you using the original fittings that went on the lines? or did you cut the new line and slide on different fittings? If there is play in the brake line even with the fitting tight you have the wrong fitting. Or your flare could be cracked, did you do the double flare?
  10. I said the same thing. :dunno: and there are definately more than three, i will have to check mine later.
  11. I'll check on it, thanks. EDIT: actually already PMed the guy yesterday, no response.
  12. I have long since done the CAD fix where the collar is permentaly slid over, BUT just to convince my brother i just wanted to know if anyone has experienced any long term side effects of doing this mod, like. . . does it wear your front end parts out faster? are there/have been, any serious risks later on down the road? T case? Differential? U joints? like i said i did this myself a Long time ago and have not experienced any problems what so ever, but then again i have never made any trips over 50 miles with said truck. thanks
