  3. here's my rig when i brought it home last year
  4. mine was like that when i got it and found chafed wires behind the seat. the seat mount when it was put in from the factory actually pinched the wires and just took 13 years for it to become the prob ,not sure it is the same but good place for you to check.

  6. i put these in my wrangler and are a great product. they are stiff at first and have a slight vib to them but once i wheeled it they came right out of that great product and will be putting them in my comanche as soon as i blow up the factory ones.
  7. ya it was the only trans i could get my hands on and getting the clutch parts was dealer only and it was complete assembled. was alot of money to think i paid 300 for the kit
  8. i put the 96 in mine and had to put all new master, line and slave in to make it work. I'm not sure on the 89's
  9. mine was 2wd and i did the swap and i got 5.5 inches I'm at 8.5 with shackels and blocks to clear my 36 inch irocs

  11. if you go on jeepforms they have a chart telling what number of teeth you need on the gears its a combo of tire size to gear ratio.
  12. find a 8.8 out of a ford explorer they are just as strong as the dana 44
  13. the other one is totaled hope all is well
  14. for winter studded tires and lots of weight are the best traction. lockers make 2wd slid really easy.

    Hi all, names Chris and I'm new to the club and located out of bangor maine. I'm the proud owner of a 1988 comanche pioneer 4.0 standard, was 2wd now is 4wd has a dana 30 trussed ax15 trans dana 300 t-case and 7" lift xj long arm by roughcountry thats been modded to fit extra long travel shocks 33" tire and will be going to 34s in the spring once i finshed whats left for tread on these tires. hope to meet some new friend and maybe do some wheeling.
