  4. Well good news for comanche fans another big win for us. here's a couple of pics of my rig and my second place trophy out of 30 jeeps. You should have seen the heads turn when i fired up that diesel was priceless [ ][/img] [ ][/img]
  5. Well I'm looking around 7k but I'm not completely finished yet still have axles and I'm thinking aluminum radiator.
  6. I'm running the turbo 400 and an np205 flipped set up with twin stick and right now I have the 30 and 35 but will be putting a Dana 44 for the front and a ford 8.8 for the rear.

  8. I have a 4bt in mine works great but remember lots of Fab to make it fit and money I'm looking at around 7k right now and you will need min of 6-8" of lift . The weight difference between the two wasn't bad only settled my front springs about an half inch

  11. I put a 98 grand Cherokee break booster master and portion valve in mine rig and seems to work good with my 8.8

  13. thanks a bunch got all the wiring ripped out so it is now a 1 wire ignition setup
  14. Ok I'm looking to fine a wiring diagram for my 1988 Comanche. Looking the fuel injection and all under hood relays as I'm taking all this out for the simple 1 wire system i will be running for the 4bt. I'm looking to get rid of all wiring that is not needed. any help would be great. Thanks Chris

  16. The 4.0 ran perfect and trans was fine, just have always wanted to do the swap and as the old lady puts it "you just can't leave anything alone can you". So i just bite the bullet and did it. now she really happy because i let her pick out the paint color.
  17. got the engine painted and started putting it back together. hoping to start building the motor mounts this week so i can get the cummins in next weekend.

  20. Ok so here it gos the start of the Weeman , I'm turning my 1988 comanch pioneer in to a diesel. 4bt here we go. So went down to the local diesel shop to see if he knew anyone that had a cummins 4bt. well turns out that he just happen to have one in a van that was heading for the scrap yard. I was able to pick it up for around 1200$ in running condion and he was very helpfull with any info need for the swap plus helped with lots of extra parts. He gave me the torq converter for the turbo 400 which i will be using plus a crate of extra part as well. here's some pics of whats been done as of today. here are some of pulling the old 4.0 and the ax15
  21. i have the RC kit in mine and love it.They have a great warranty was short a piece and the sent it right out and a second full set of bushing for when i need to rebuild them
