    roll bar?

my brother in-law(lostissues) has a factory swb roll bar, in great shape, layin around. i'm thinking about putting it in my '92, just want some input. let me know what you think
  3. fixed my fuel rail issue with a ton of grease and a little finess tomorrow i plan on getting her registered, and then shes going to get a new exhaust..... 2.5" pipe from header back, free flow cat, 40 series flowmaster, and prolly dump out behind the cab :D
  4. 23.....24 in june
  5. not to be a fool, but.....how do electrical conectors leak fuel?? he's refering to the renix injectors split body. They like to seperate in the middle, between the electrical connector and the nozzle, and leak fuel from the body of the injector itself. thanks 87, sorry jackel, didnt even think to specify what i meant. youre sittin there like... MY elec connectors don't spew fuel... this kids a mooooronnn hahah. sorry bout that :chillin: its all good
  6. ok that makes sense
  7. not to be a fool, but.....how do electrical conectors leak fuel??
  8. injector o-rings
  9. i put oil on all the o-rings if thats what you mean, if not should i try to use regular grease?
  10. so i put on a new header the other day buttoned everything up and turned her over......fuel leak(from injector closest to fan), no biggie new o-ring. didn't have time to fix it the other day so i jumped on it when i got out of work today. got everything back together, fuel leak.....great(same injector). i took it all apart again, same damn o-ring. as i am putting it all together i can see the fuel rail take a chunk out of the SAME o-ring!!!!WTF!!!! :headpop: anyway, i tried again, same outcome, tossed some tools, cussed alittle, then retreated here for some knowledge. anyone else have this problem or know how to solve it? Thanks Rich
  11. my '95 yj(5spd) had 33's and 4:10's and i had no problems, i thought it was great! i could get 80 mph(only did on ocasion) and never hit 3000 rpms.
  12. don't feel so bad, there will be two idiots trying to figure this one out  by the way....we need some beer when we work on the trucks, then things won't hurt so much
  13. the seat is shot, thats why i swaped it. there is barely any padding left, and you can feel the springs.
  14. thats a sweet truck. great work
  15. i debated on what lift to get for a looong time, i wanted to go 4.5" and from talking to some people and the local jeep shop i decided to go rc. also had a RC lift on my '95 yj and liked it. i'll be changing a lot also, some JKS parts and rusty'e 4" leaf pack also. for what i wanted the RC lift just seemed to work.
  16. time to start my MJ project. this is going to be my DD/mild wheeler. to do list; -swap in buckets(done) -tune-up -patch floor -replace driver side rocker -fix rust over rear wheel wells -replace exaust manifold -replace whole exhaust -install 4.5" RC lift/rusty's 4" leaf packs -jks adjustable track bar/ quick discos -31" bfg at's -install factory swb rollbar -herculiner the bed -undercoat the whole truck -spare tire mount for the bed(not sure what to go with yet) thats the general idea, other stuff will come later. first things first.....had to ditch the bench and replace it with XJ buckets started putting in the new header yesterday, we were planning on buttoning everything up today BUT........its snowing(again) in april :headpop:
  17. i was thinking the same thing who were you with? i was 7th ESB, and then 1st Maint. BN.(and a handfull of other units in Iraq)
  18. its a '92 H.O.
  19. i want to get some 8mm wires, a good cap/rotor, and a new coil. i know i could just go to autozone and get somthing that will work, but i want something better. also wondering if it is worth it to get a throttle body spacer, or bored out throttle body, and if so from who? Rich
  20. my '99 does, and so does everyone in the jy around here.........thats why one will be going under my '92 mj soon
  21. Changing out your front too? yes i am changing the front also. Modern retreads hold up rather well, but the back in the day, they weren't good at all for a passenger car. The bad reputation is still held for what they used to be. Do you have any suncracking on your sidewalls? Are the chunking? What brand and any idea on how old? i have no idea how old, i'll check the brand, they are suncracked, and they are chunking. That middle seat doesn't have Any padding anyways. I'm tempted to toss mine. Did you go with MJ ones? the buckets are out of an xj Kassidy Rich
  22. so i drove my (new to me) '92 mj for the first time today. i'm real happy with the truck, but it does have some issues. first off, the exhaust is rattling off the truck....i want to get a whole new setup(headers and all) but not sure what to get. should be picking up a new axle this weekend, 8.25/3:55/lsd, and that will take care of the crappy d35/3:07 truck is in dire need of a tuneup, looking for a good setup; cap/rotor/wires(8mm)/coil/plugs......am i missing anything? and last.....my freakin tires are fallin apart!!! :headpop: i think the might be retreads? Good news!! got the buckets in soooooooo much nicer than the bench. anyway any thoughts or advice would be great. Rich
  23. NICE!! but.....now you guys got me thinking that i might go soa. what to do......what to do...... :dunno:
  24. them bastards. thats sooooo......wrong. all the more reason to wrench yourself 8)
