I want to buy a clean, short wheel base bed. I don't care what color it is and I don't need a tail gate with the bed. The bed I have now has too much rust and big dents. So I'm looking for a rust free/dent free bed. I think this way would be cheaper way than taking the bed that I have now to a body shop. I prefur to be in my area Lincolnton NC, so I can drive there or to meet half way...

any ways to add extra power real cheap
Paul Bruchal replied to hick92's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Witch manifold would fit? Intake/Exhaust? Both? And whats the notching... My project would be way easier if the HO exhaust fits. I would like to say this is a good idea, but its not. You should only install a manifold that matches the head. The HO intake is more squared, and the Renix is square, with part of one of the corners filled in (don't ask me why). By putting the full square intake onto the partial square, you could actually loose power. You would be introducing a spot of turbulence that could actually impede the flow of air/fuel mixture. If you kept the Renix on the Renix, you wouldn't have a notch sticking out in the air/fuel stream causing problems. Rob So I'll stick with pacesetter headers http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pacesett ... essories... -

I was on the trail at Big Dixie Boggers meet a few years ago, I had atleast 6 offers to buy or trade for a huge rock crawler "not a DD" for my MJ in 1 day! And too many comments to count!

Should I? "dana 44"
Paul Bruchal replied to Paul Bruchal's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
ChryCo is slowly weeding out Dana. They dropped Dana in 2003 for the Ram pickups. My 07 2500 has a AAM axles front and rear. The place I work at is called Getrag. I heard that Dana had a contract with Getrag a few years ago. I wish they still made Dana axles, Id jack afew :D -

http://www.boyceequipment.com/pricelist ... ck%20Axles I don't think these are aluminum. Should I spent the money and buy a rebuilt axle? I know I won't break these axles for what I'm going to do with my Jeep "DD and a little off roading, but mostly DD". -

I looked threw the bed tool box today and found a small tool box with abunch of random tools "score" :shake: I took abunch more pics too. Ill post them up later, It takes forever to upload pics from phone. I took a wire brush to some bubbled paint.... I'm guessing the rest of the rust is going to be like this... can't wait for the body shop. The guy I bought it from said he has a new rear bumper for it.... I don't want it so when I get it ill sell it to who ever wants it. -

Know where to get AC lines? Got rust on those too... Thats the only rust under the hood. The worst case for the body work is having to replace the bed. the frame rails are peeling old bed liner and has surface rust where peeling. -

A guy on ebay is selling them... I think he has 10 or more than 10 left... IDK I want one. -
I just bought my 2nd MJ! 1990 Jeep Comanche Eliminator 88,000 original miles Reason why I say I saved it is because this truck is from Ohio... Thats where most or the rust you see is from... The seller said some woman from Ohio was going to buy it and drive it back to Ohio "I bought this truck in Winston Salem NC", I want to see how long I can keep this truck, so I'm going to baby it. I posted this in the project section because it needs alittle work. My have to do list: #1 Rust #2 Needs new gas tank seal. "leaks at 1/2 tank" #3 Bucket seats don't recline. "IDK if they are suppose to recline" Somebody spray painted the front grill bright red. Doesn't match. I have seen worse rust to turn out better looking. In the end, I want it to look "close" to this: I would have taken more pics but in NC has been having bad weather lately, so more pics Maybe this weekend or tomorrow?
