  1. so when i went to HF and bought some cheap tubing wrenches that fit nothing (standard/metric was too loose/tight for any fitting without stripping it), thoes cheap wrenches were no better then me on the other end of them?? :fs1: that wrench set got tossed in the garbage can. :D i partly agree, you can have the nicest welder made, but if you don't know how to use it you will weld like crap, on the other hand sure some people might be able to learn how to weld good with a cheap piece of junk, but why not spend and extra $100 or $200 and get a decent little machine with a proven name that has real adjustments, not high/low. like darren said, you get what you pay for Thats where I'm coming from, I don't know anything about welding or body work. Thats why I was thinging about getting the cheapest one they got for sale. Who knows, I might be good at welding, just never knew it. I dough that tho :D
  2. I got $3.30...
  3. I have to mix gas to have a good weld?
  4. 90 amp flux wire welder mig harbor freight I know you can buy one for like $100. And they arnt the most powerful-est. But does anybody know if they would be good for... Replacing a floor pan or body work? Nothing thick heavy metal.
  5. He has no title.... just a warning.
  6. Hate those vacuum lines :fs1: Hope I can do a swap someday to get rid of them.
  7. Alright, if Rusty's is so bad, what company do you recommend to fit 35" on a MJ? I was going to go with rusty's but not anymore.
  8. This is Not about the manifold but the "intake pipe and filter"... Is there a difference between the intake pipe and filter on the HO than the renix engine set up? For example: Can I put a intake for a 1991'+ 4.0 on a 1990' 4.0 engine? Isnt just a filter?
  9. What I'm after is more of a project truck than a DD or a trail truck... I found a rust free truck in Williamsburg VA except its a 4 cyl. for $4300 and its 6 hrs away.
  10. I just called the guy thats selling it, he told me that a lady from Ohio is coming to get it Sunday evening :( .... Thats a ridiculous drive from Ohio to eastern NC  ... I think thats a scam..... He said that he'll call me back Monday morning if it was a no show...
  11. Oh, almost for got... the owner says that there is only 2 things wrong with this truck... Already got #1 covered...RUST.. #2 is that there is a bad seal on the gastank???? :hmm:" It leaks gas when you fill it past half tank." IDK anything about this... do you?
  12. Alright, I'm not passing this up. I'm calling the guy tomorrow afternoon and see if hell meet me half way.....tax return should be coming next week :D
  13. Pretty sic setup! Do you have a cage? and any pics of it?
  14. Okay... I'm passing up on this one too. The search continues.
  15. Is it hard to take the bed off? Id want to do this "if I buy this" and do a full check over for rust.
  16. I'm going to try to look at this MJ this weekend. The current owner sent me some pics of the rust. What I want to ask you is, do you have any idea how much it would cost to weld in the driver side floor board and to fix the rust you'll see in the pics? I never paid for body work before. If I knew anything about body work, I would at least try to attempt, but I don't.... Image Not Found Image Not Found I'm guessing this is the floor board? He said he cut the rust away and just needs sheet metal to be welded in place. Image Not Found
  17. While looking for a MJ for sale today 2-27-2011, I came a crossed it too.... I'm guessing its over priced?
  18. http://bigdixieboggers.com/images/Spring11.jpg Its a small event, I go here every year, or try to, if work lets me. First 2 times Ive been was with my MJ, now I stand out like a soar thumb with my Eclipse. Hopefully by this event Ill have another MJ. I know that there is a giant black Comanche there every year, never seen it on the trail tho. Anybody going?
  19. Wondering if any of you guys are running OX Lockers. If you are, do you like them or dislike them? If you don't like them what would you recommend?
  20. Well... the guy selling it doesn't have the title.... I'm taking this as a sign to avoid it.....
  21. Okay... I may not need one but I sure do want another :D
  22. Anybody got Photoshop? :rotf:
  23. The deep wheel wells is whats different about Metalcloak.
  24. Back when I wanted a Wrangler I wanted to have Metalcloak fenders on it. But I changed my mind again and wanting another MJ instead. I thought about the Metalcloak fenders, and how could they fit on a MJ/XJ today at work... So I emailed Metalcloak and asked "Are you planning on making products for the XJ/MJ in the future"? and they said they are designing "products" for the XJ not so much for the MJ... They said it might be out by next year around this time. But would the XJ stuff bolt right up to the MJ? I don't know about the rest of the members of the comancheclub, but I'm excited! If you don't know about Metalcloak and their fenders: You can take a stock not lifted wrangler, put the Metalcloak fenders on it and fit 37" tires.
