  1. I'm using the stock bed just raising the floor up. only prob w/ a step side is shortening the beds and fenders.
  2. 1 wire gm only has 1 wire... lol. also delco alt. suck from the factory so you mite have jsut ben getting bad alt. or u un loosened you loose connection.
  3. so any more issues? sounds like you have a loose wire some were. and more then likely its the wire from the alt to the light on the dash which in turn tells it to charge... just convert to a 1 wire gm and be done w/ it lol. i suspect maybe the main block of wires right behind the fuse box maybe?
  4. also does the battery light work when you turn the key on?

  6. LR speaker is green/white stripe and black/yellow stripe RR speaker is brown and black/yellow stripe do you not have factory rear speakers?
  7. the projects still goin, i got the back half and 4 link done, motor trans and drive shaft in it to :D the waggy front end bolted right up and yes i had to have the header panel as the headlight buckets are different. not sure on wiring tho. i got mine complete from the u pull it for 40 bux :D as for pics, I'm trying to get it where i can roll it out side and get some good pics, also my sister stole the cord for my camera :mad:
  8. sounds like you gota bad alternator or sumthing is causing a severe power drain.
  9. that alternator sounds like it isnt putting out enough voltage. if any of mine don't put out over 13.5 i take em back.
  10. do you not have a switch on them? i always put relays on fog lights.... have u taken the alternator and battery to be tested yet?
  11. hmm i hope you put a gasket on there. pull pan back off and if it didnt break flush, use some vise grips and back it right out.

  13. kool thx for the info guys, i measuer wheel base it is a shortbed, so from what ive read, tehy didnt make short bed metric ton mjs, correct?
  14. how do i tell that?is it stamped ont he rear end or does it have a tag?
  15. any one know the factory wheel base measurements for long and short beds? i need to find out if my parts truck is a long bed or not, i got 113in from center of hub to center of hub for my 87 short bed. also how do i tell what options it had factory from the vin number(ie metric ton package)
  16. best pinks was the fbody trans am vs. the turbod civic. the trans am beat him by 5 lengths w/ out 2nd gear but used his No2... still good race when the t/a blew right by him ;)
  17. yup definatly a ground issue. either the gournd inside the plug is bad or from the plug to the body is.
  18. if the pumpkin is cast STEEL u can weld to it, just let it cool naturally and don't cool it off(air/water)
  19. my ranger has 4:10s and 31s and gas mileage sux, 75 I'm runnin 3 grand on the interstate.
  20. lincolns are good starters just don't use flux core i hate that stuff! we have a fire power 110 welder and its pretty good also. i use a miller 200 220V at the house tho :D
  21. pull the plugs to just incase any water did get in there itll dry out and squirt a lil oil in the spark plug holes so just in case it hopefully won't be siezed up.
  22. maybe try hammering a torx socket that is just a hair bigger in there.

  25. i would still check the output of hte alternator. it should put out around 14V at idle.
