  1. I need a copy of the COMANCHE CLUB LOGO but with tires instead of the WORDS. I need to use it for a 1 page proposal for a Comanche Project that I'm working on. Anyone put mud tires under it quickly and post it up?? I don't have photochop at work.
  2. Just put in a switched relay that is also switched by your ignition. When you want your electric fan on, turn on the switch, when you want it off, turn it off. It is not really necessary to have a T-Stat controlled fan in My Opinion. Than again I think that power windows are awful. I have a 29 year old set of window winders in my MJ... My right arm and my left arm.
  3. Yeah thats my truck. found a really mint 2dr XJ and just chopped WAY more than i needed. I cut them to fit and now that its painted, you would never know that they used to be rusted. YOU DID SOME AMAZING BODY WORK ON THAT THING. I want to do that same cut out and patch job on my long bed. I need to get a couple cuts from a super clean 2 door XJ. Did you use some kind of bending tool to crimp in the tabs left on the main portion of the bed that you welded the patch to? That is quite and incredible job and you have a beautiful MJ resto.
  4. OK DUDIES!!! We just got word that our offer on 5.5 acres and a 4 bed rooom double wide modular on a full block foundation 14 miles from Ohiopyle State Park was accepted. So if all goes well and we can have a DOG DAYS OF SUMMER weekend, we can use my land as a launch pad. Camping will be avaliable on my property.
  5. ANY RUST FREE SHORT BED J TRUCK IS AWESOME!!
  6. OK, Last years post has been sticky for what reason I don't know because it never happened. The dates for this summer are JULY 11th 12th and 13th. The Location is OHIOPYLE STATE PARK located between the Laurel and Chestnut Ridges of Appalachian Mountains in southwestern Pennsylvania. What is there to do? Rafting, Kayaking, Swimming, Camping of course, and there are a few places to wheel within a 20 mile drive. My thoughts were to make this less of a wheeling trip and more of a meet and greet fun weekend kind of thing, but I'm open to suggestions. I just think that it would be fun to get a group of us together and I think that PA is a real good central location for guys from NY NJ WV VA MD PA OH MI and KY. Check your calender and post any ideas here.
  7. If he won't sell it to you, tell him that a Yankee wants to buy it!!
  8. Check out my Stomper Project Post. I just put a 2.5" RoughCountry Lift my MJ.
  9. Please know that this response is my last response to this post and is in no way intended to offend any soldiers, but honestly, you have a better chance of getting killed in a car accident than you do getting killed as a troop, and you have a better chance of getting killed as a troop than you do getting killed in a Terror attack. My logic behind this is simple. There are already laws on the books that charge people with the responsibility of driving safely. If you kill some one at the wheel then you are charged with manslaughter. That alone is enough to cause me to drive safely, and did as a Teen driver. If they want to create a law, how about creating a alw that charges parents with failure to supervise and teach thier chidlren properly when they are a teen and kill some one because they are bad drivers? Simply put, when you sign up for a drivers test or a drivers license, the same way as when you sign up for the service, or sign up to be an american, you exist in a world where calculated risk factors exist. If you can't accept those risks, don't get behind the wheel, or get into a vehicle with others who are not responsible enough to drive or ride with more than one person in the car. I find it hard to believe that there can be just an 18 month difference in the age of a young man who is permitted to drive a vehicle with more than one person in the car and one who is permitted to sign up to fight George Bush's Oil Agenda War.

  11. OK I isolated the problem to the rear end tail light harness... Tomorrow I have to pull the tail lights and check the bulbs, sockets, and trace the wiring back to the drivers side rear bed corner where the plug is at and see if I can find the problem. I also need to install a new license plate light and license plate mounting bracket on the awful rear bumper that is on this thing right now (crappy piece of C-Channel on some home brew brackets) Thanks for the advice guys
  12. Anyone know where to get them?? I'm sorry that I have all these questions latley.... Just got the MJ back and I've been meaning to get to a few things and I need a few answers.
  13. u aint gona compromise the integrity of the bed. Get u some sheet metal ' date=' ziz wheel and a welder . then u cut out rust , bend sheet metal to fit/fill the hole then weld it in ,grind and smooth as necessary , primer -paint and ur done.[/quote'] Cutting the skin away from the inner fender at the pinch weld will most definatly compromise the integrity of the bed. It will let the skin flap in the wind. I have done a couple repairs to an MJ bed or two that were not permanent and did not work out well 2 or 3 years down the road. I'm interested in stopping the rust on the inside of the skins as well as making a repair of the holes.
  14. This is totally my point. I'm a tax payer, and if you don't let them drive and wreck and kill a few people at a young age, they are never going to learn to be better in the future. Furthermore, if you don't let them drive, then it becomes the burdon of society and tax payers to pay to transport them. It is the risk that each one of us takes when we get behind the wheel. I'm willing to take that risk everyday rather than pay higher taxes to provide transportation for these people. I'm also the guy that is willing to take the risk that I might die in a terrorist attack, or might have to pay more for gasoline, instead sending troops into a situation that probably has no affect on anything that happens here in America. It would have been better in my opinion to let something like september 11th happen every ten years than to lose a few thousand good soldiers fighting people who don't care one bit about us. I'm also the guy that would take the risk to stop a mall shooter, or a plane hijacker if I was ever in that situation. Keep telling your selves that we need to teach young a lesson by not letting them try things and fail. Failure is the greatest way to learn how to be successful. Just don't attempt failure with my money.
  15. Good DIY Fix Method for Rusted Through Bed Skins? I'm brainstorming for ideas to fix the Rusted Through Bed Skins on my Stomper. Driver side is all the way through, passengers side would be if I picked at it. I want to do something that completly stops the rusting, and replaces the metal in a way that does not compromise the integrity of the bed side. I thought about a couple of diamond plate patches right there. I could spray them with duplicolor to match the truck. Anyone have any suggestions?? Pete don't show me the pics of your sheet metal screwed rattle can patch... I want to do something a little neater than that... ;)
  16. Can we start the ComancheClub Religious Cult... where we worship MJ's... pass the plate each Sunday and Wednesday night... have the service in a three bay block garage with one fluid change bay, one alignment style lift, and one scissors lift, and have it fully stocked with tools for the members of the congregation to wrench and build there vehicles. We could also have an attached car wash bay outside? I'd join, infact I'd do the preaching!! And we would not have to pay taxes on our purchases, land, building, and other things. Anyone want to nominate me as the leader??
  17. I'm going to build my own rear bumper for the back of my Stomper and I want to see what the factory hitch looks like to see if I need/want to integrate a hitch into the bumper or use a factory towing hitch. ANYONE HAVE PHOTOS??
  18. It looked much better as a stock MJ than with those GT wheels. Why worry about the miles and the fuel and the value of the Power Stroke when the tires and wheels that you just put on it cost you a boat load. Reatread 225's or 215's only cost $35 each. I would have just left is stock and fixed the problems and drove into the ground.
  19. Honestly, I would not have used that stuff for what you are trying to prevent. I would have used a good rust preventive paint, and then top coated it with that stuff to make it look good. FYI I do use that stuff when I spray bedliners into Jeep Tubs to do just what you said, hit hard to reach spots behind the roll cage and other places before spraying.
  20. Have you been kissing dirty girls?? You really should get that COUGH Checked
  21. I'm sorry but this entire post is fawking redicules. I'm a Tax payer and I pay taxes on realestate towards public school funding. These restrictions on drivers license with number of passengers in the car and all that is completly a bunch of BS. How do they expect these kids to get to school, hocky practice, after school jobs, weekend volunteer opportunities like training and volunteering National Ski Patrol or other things, if you can't drive with more than one person in the car. Further more, it is completly insane to teach kids that riding with one person in the car is OK. What ever happened to carpooling, environmental awareness, engergy conservation, and other things. Kids learn their lesson when a few of their friends get splatter on the windshield or scattered in pieces on the asphalt. I hate to put it in such a gruesome way, but what lesson are you teaching a kid that gets hasseled by a cop at 16 for some redicules reason. That probation driving crap will never fly here. I'm not paying for public transportation for every tommy, dicky, and sally, to get to and from soccer, hockey, football, and yearbook club meetings after school. If mommy and daddy can afford a car for tommy, dicky, and sally, they can afford the insurance for them to drive with there friends. If they can't afford a car, then their kids need to learn from school of hard knocks how to work hard to get where you need to go in life. The law should simply be stated that no more people in the car than the number of seat belts. I feel sorry for the origional poster
  22. I only used a large capacity fuse to troubleshoot with. I blew a few fuses trying to get it to work. I'm going to investigate the front light sockets....
  23. When I picked up my truck yesterday I found that I had no parking lights and no dash lights. 10 amp fuse blown. Replacement of the fuse it blows back. Tried larger fuses up to 30 amp. Dash lights hold at 30 amp but no parking or running lights. I searched all over today, light bulbs, wires, everything. I can't find the short. I unplugged the rear harness and tested the wires and it is not shorted. Any suggestions??
  24. The plow/trailer place is gone now. A business that I work for, Choice Respiratory Care and Choice Medical Supplies is now located in that building and there is an additional 2500 square feet being added onto the building right now for a Warehouse for the company. Sorry about the foggy photos. I dun know what happened.
  25. I picked it up from a guy in Ohio slightly used for about $400 The guy worked at 4wd and then moved on to some Fabshop and built a custom tube bumper for his XJ.
