Well I pulled my positive cable and it was all eaten up too. Swapped it out and my truck runs like a champ! Thanks!

I have a 1987 4.0 standard 4x4 that will not crank or start. First, this morning I drove down to the car wash and washed my chassis and my engine. I drove back to my house and went in for a couple minutes. When I went to leave again my truck had noise from the solenoid but was not engaging the starter or turning the motor or even attempting too. We tried to jump start the truck with no results. The power then went away completely. We tried to push start it and nothing happened. I went and bought a battery and new ground. Put that in and still nothing. THere is no power in the cab or to anything at all. I cleaned where it connects to the engine also. I did not have the truck running when I was washing it either. Any help with the fix? Thanks, JP

Went to open my truck door the other day and no matter how much I turned the key back and forth, the inside lock was not disengaging. I opened my passenger door and unlocked it from inside. Locks and unlocks fine from the inside but will not from the outside. Seems like something may have been disconnected. I would like some input before pulling my door panel. Thanks!

Unbolt your engine to body ground and sand down the connections and where it's bolted too.

Is it a 2 or 4 door Cherokee?

What is the difference in the xenon bulbs? Also do you think you can get a picture of your low beams on at night from like 50-100 foot? I want to see what other drivers will see. Thanks!

Is there a preference on the proper harness to upgrade with? I'm wanting to order but can't decide why some are differently priced? Are cheaper ones not enough upgrade? Thanks, John Paul

This is the supposed culprit: I'm wondering how it would be to change out myself. The joint itself is $10. Seems fair to me. I'm just iffy on pulling the brakes and all. I'm going to see if someone would do it but I doubt it's cheap. This is the seal I just noticed blown:

Everything in the suspension looked good and tight so I took it to a shop and they believe it is the left front u joint. It has always had some play, they said its just getting worse. Any input on that? I will get some pictures tomorrow of the leak also. How hard would it be to change that by yourself and what do you think a shop would charge? Thanks, John Paul

I was driving home from school today when a truck cut me off causing me to swerv and slam on my brakes. Then after I noticed when I turned it felt like I ha a bad wobble in the front. It was literally shaking my steering wheel wanting to straighten back up. I pulled over thinking I maybe had a flat. No flat tire so I kept driving and when I turn my wheels I hear a lot of clanks and clunks. I got under my truck and it look like I have a new leak from where my front driveshaft comes from the t case. Could this be causing a weird clank and jerk. What should I do and where should I take it to be looked at? Thanks!

I'm looking to upgrade my harness and put IPF headlight assemblys and IPF bulbs. What are the suggestions on bulbs and what wattage? I heard the fat boy bulbs are great. I put new sealed beams in and the street lights put out more noticeable light to me. Also is there going to be a difference in brightness on my taillights? You can tell when you hit the brake but they don't have the output of a newer vehicle. Anyone upgraded with the factory tails? Also some of the harnesses seem way cheaper than others, what is the best route to go? Thanks, John Paul

I'm wanting to replace my stock headlamps due to limited visibility and I'm wanting the blue look. I saw that they have halos for our trucks and hid conversions. Which ones have y'all tried and does anyone know what all I will need? Is there a plug and play harness upgrade?
