I need to know if I can unscrew the heim end and replace that with a tre that is $22 or if I need the whole track bar? This is well over a hundred dollar difference. I need to know which route would be better for me.
-
All advice is helpful, I just want to make myself clear. I don't have the money or time to order the wrong parts. I need to be sure of my order. Thanks, JP

It's actually a motion offroad track bar TRE.
-
I don't believe it is worn out. Is it possible to replace just the end on the track bar? Is it screw in? And do I need to purchase the whole drag link?

I have had some odd wobble and steering issues. Checked it out and the passenger tierod end is loose and the shorter tie rod end up top is also loose. Kept looking around and my less than a year old heim joint adjustable track bar is loose. What are my options and where should I look to replace these parts? My truck is set up with a 4.5 inch lift. Thanks in advance!

In the mornings, my truck has a squeek or a chirp type sound from the rear under acceleration. It is only when the truck is cold, as it warms up, it slowly stops. It does it in the evenings also, but not as bad. When I am just rolling, it does not squeek, but accelerating from about 0-30 mph, it makes a horrific noise. It is fairly loud and people have said they've noticed it standing outside. It is a 4.0 with a manual transmission. It probably isn't anything big, but I cannot narrow it down. I do not see anything out of the ordinary underneath the truck. Thanks, John Paul

I put my truck in reverse the other day and the boot came up off of the console. The retainer ring is broken and dry rotted. I'm looking to get another one shipped to 77630. I will buy the boot also if needed. Thanks!

Rear Brakes Catching Hard
kawaboy13 replied to kawaboy13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm not positive both are locking up. I pulled my hubs and cleaned both sides really well. Drove around the block and nothing caught. I do have a leak where the shaft goes into the axle. I will be driving more today to see if the issue continues. -
Rear Brakes Catching Hard
kawaboy13 replied to kawaboy13's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well my e brake doesn't work and hasn't for a while. Also my rear proportioning valve seems to be hooked up correctly. -
I was driving home this evening coming to a stop at a red when my truck's rear brakes locked up causing me to skid to an abrupt stop. Every stop after that, my rear brakes would catch with just the slightest press on the brake pedal. It was causing my seat belt to lock as hard as it was stopping. I would like to save my tires and fix the culprit. It's only doing it off and on now. Any help? Thanks!

Death wobble and some clunking noise..
kawaboy13 replied to MichiganDuck's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Probably ball joints. No u joints do to being 2wd. I had the same type of issue and it was a u joint on mine -
I went through the same choice. I have a stock cat and a flow master 40 series single in dual out dumped before the rear axle. It sounds awesome to me. It is loud inside and out but not headache loud. Everyone definitely hears you outside and everyone I've talked to thinks it sounds good. Rumbles lower than many of my friends V8s and much louder than a V6. I'm very happy with it

Can you give us the info on the truck? Year and drivetrain? -
This thing is awesome. What was the original drivetrain and the current?

Will the harness brighten up my corners, tails, ect?

I think I've decided to go with these: http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=744 I'm wanting to upgrade bulbs, are their any suggestions on these that they offer?
-
With hella e code housings, will I be able to see off the sides of the road for animals and things? Also, can anyone tell me about the fat boy bulbs?
-
I have no upgrades done yet and am just wondering the best route for me to follow. So you would not upgrade the harness for hid?
-
I'm going to upgrade to a putco harness and was wondering if it is even possible to run hid's off of it? Does anyone know which is brighter? I want to go with a 90/100 watt bulb if I go with the H4. I'm not sure the way i want to go. Also would be getting hella glass housings for H4's. I have not seen an hid setup in a Comanche, but would like to see the difference in the two. Also, does anyone know which hid kit to go with? Thanls, John Paul

Bright sealed beam headlights?

With a putco harness, is it safe to run over a 100 watt bulb in our trucks or will it fry things? -
Ending up being the clutch master cylinder  Hope this one is better quality.
-
Ordered another master? Anything else guys? :dunno:
-
I was driving home today when my clutch pedal went almost all the way to the floor...Again. The same thing happened around a year ago and I replaced my master cylinder and my high pressure line from the master to the slave. I bled out my slave cylinder and still no luck. Is there something else I should look for this time? With the clutch an inch from the floor it has already disengaged :dunno:

I think so too. I have not had a chance to pulls panel yet and yesterday it decided to break completely. My driver door will not open from the inside or outside the lock inside will not move to the unlock position. Now it seems I'll have to pull the panel from the inside :ack:

It is the first one but seems like I would have the second problem too due to the lock covers not fully closing. Do any of y'alls locks seem weird like that? Mine will sometimes have to be moved around to actually get my key in.
