Will definitely go that route just wondering sizes needed.
-
Replacing wire looming or conduit. Anyone know the sizes I need? Measured and got some oddball sizes. I think I know by eyeballing it but wanna be sure. Thanks my peoples!
-
Can you make a set to sell me? I want to do this as well!
-
I made mine out of treadbright aluminum. But seen em made of panel wood. Just remove the vinyl then remove the staples holding the cardboard from the plastic door top liner and use it as a template. Then cut it out an paint or cover stick tye plastic piece on door and screw the card in place. They are easy to make.

AX-15 upgrades/other transmissions
Warthog replied to speeding_infraction's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I’m not up on Toyota, or jeep for that matter even tho I’m building three. So what did you find out on what tranny is tough enough? Wanna have my ax15’s built to stand 500 hp and a lot of torque but not sure if it’s doable. Stuffing sbc and heavily modded. Building more of a mud or sand racers. Not a rock hopper. -

Hit me with price and how to pay brother! Need one more for the cherokee! These rock! Can never thank you enough brother! -
Ok so I have some buckets from a later model two door. Fold forward ect. Issue is my mj is an 86 and I’m grabbing a set of those floor brackets from a guy on here. I know someone has had to come up with something to mate these two together. I just need a picture or description of how. I have a set of older buckets but they don’t fold forward. Plus these are in pristine shape! Any help would be awesome as I’ve studied this for a while and got nada! Peace to you and thanx in advance!

I am on this like white on rice brother! Be a couple weeks before payday but definitely grabbing a set! If you get a chance pm or mail or whatever cause I have an idea and wanted to see if you can do it. Be a huge money maker for you. Lol and no not lookin for freebies! If you can I’ll buy same as anyone. I just don’t yave the equipment or weld expertise. Whole family on both sides are master welders including my brother and sister ve never held a stick! But regardless I’m getting a set of these! You said in a previous you prefer Venmo? I have cash app and a bluebird card as well as a bank card. I’m old and not tech savvy! So may need you to walk me thru it. I’m in Texas by the way

Hey gonna grab a set end of October. Was gonna grab some but mother had some health issues. Anyway il be in touch!
-
Exactly what I’m having issues with!!! I have got to research stuff way better before I just run out and buy stuff! Figured oh I’ll just cut a plate and bridge the gap! Nope! The adjuster won’t allow for it. May have to call my brother on this one. Greatest out of the box thinker ever hit the planet! Super nice brackets by the way. I may grab a set anyway and fab something up to make em all fit. How much you get on em
-
Will these fit late model seats? That’s my issue now. Got pieces and nothing fits! 86 comanche 95 seats and 01 sliders! Lol was gonna make a plate but the slide handle mechanism is in the way on the front. Guy on here did a bracket but I can’t find the post now.

Ok so I’ve lost the screws out of my sun visors on both my Cherokee and comanche! I removed em to make my new ones out of aluminum. Put the screws up til I was ready to put em back on and like half the stuff I’ve put up it’s in a safe place where apparently it will remain forever, on the island of lost $#!&! So I’ll just buy some new ones. Figured if I was gonna get some I’ll get some cool looking screws. Stainless Allen head ones.

Hello all! Hope everyone is safe and well. Got a question. I’m wanting to strip my steering column of everything except the horn flashers and blinkers. Want to install a push button start and remove the key mechanism. Also want the lock gone. Movin wipers to dash and bright beams to the floor. I assume it’s just a matter of chasing what wire does what and taking out the start mechanism and lock and replacing? Anyone do anything close to this or have taken em apart before to remove lock or replace ignition switch? Many thanks in advance. I’m doin this to both the Cherokee and my comanche

I need two sets! A comanche and an xj! Say when! -
Sorry for this question but I’m in the need to know. I have a set of 2 door buckets but need the adjuster slide mechanisms. My question is when did the buckets change on cherokees from the 87 bowl like slide to the flat one? And are there just those two? I don’t know…remember what year these seats are out of but the bowl sliders won’t fit em. I have the floor mount brackets from the original bucket so will these other sliders fit?

Thank you soooo very much! Pretty much what I was Thinkin but it’s such a difficult choice when you’re on a fixed income. Back in the day I didn’t mind trial an error but not so much these days. I have the rubicon express front 3.5 lift springs. Like it to sit level. Or as close to that as possible. I was concerned about the light wieght truck on such a heavy spring and the ride but not as much as I was the sitting level. 33 on 15 should give it some ease on the ride, shocks ect but height can only be changed with change out. Love the truck by the way! I’m gonna do a soft top with a frame make it look like a mini duece and a half. The old military transport trucks. I’d buy one if I could afford it! Yes I like odd stuff.

I need a full set for an 87 Cherokee and a comanche 86 with an 87 box! -
So time for leaf springs. Just curious if anyone has used the 1750lbs springs? How do they ride vs the 1200lbs springs? Runnin 33” on 15” wheels if that matters. Got a 3.5” lift and thought these hd springs and maybe an inch lift shackles should get me bout level. Any advice? Tia

Well did some more Diggin and you are correct! Apparently the p.o. Took the risers off the original seat and put em on the xj seats! I apologize for doubting you. So now the hunt begins! Peace to you and yours and thank you for your input! Without it I wouldn’t have checked and no tellin what me and my brother would have come up with!

Not really the buckets are just missing the inside front hole on the mj floor. The buckets I had in there came from an xj. Just don’t know what year. The ones I have out of the donors, 87 and 92 as well as mine which is an 87 are flat. Seen some on eBay like the ones I need but can’t get an answer as to what year they came out of. Was there a floor pan change on xj in the early years? I just need the front riser part and don’t wanna spend hundreds on a part when all I need is the riser portion. I was gonna find a part out. But need some parameters.

Member Well I got the carpet in my mj and finishing the install on the xj. Putting the seats in the mj. My problem is couldn’t find a bench seat so decided to go with xj buckets. The riser has been cut on the ones that came with it so was just gonna change out the riser from on of my donor xj’s. One is electric so that is out from what I’m told. The other is an 87 and the riser is different from the ones that came with the mj. The mj is an 86 but the seats are from an xj. They look identical except for different color. The riser on the mj ones has an oval opening with a hole off to the side on each end. The xj replacement one is shorter wider and no opening. Anyone know when these changed up? Man I hope this isn’t too confusing for whoever is reading. The reason I ask is the ones in the mj actually line up with the bolt holes…I will have to drill one up front on the inside. The other one doesn’t line up at all. Any help or advice?

Is there a 4wd tranny that will take copious amounts of hp and torque that you can speed shift? Planning on building a road burner and I don’t do automatics. Muncie was always my go to but this is a different animal with 4wd. Any help would rock. Still in tye planning stages.

Just wondering if anyone has got parts from franks west side autos? So many scams these days it’s hard to believe good deals from a scam these days. Any advice?
