Put 31x10.5x15 BFG M/T tires on it. Only rubs at full turn on LCA.

THIS SOUNDS LIKE ONE OF THOSE SCAMS FROM CRAIGSLIST.

Depends on the gear ratio. I have a Dana 44 in my XJ with 3.55 gears, I had to remove the carrier to put in a Lockright, (same as an Aussie) Wasn't a bad job, just if you do, when you put the carrier back in, DO NOT use the endcaps to seat the carrier back in place, If you break one, Game Over. They are machined to fit your axle. I used a plastic deadblow hammer to get it back in place, then put the caps on. Also make sure the left and right caps go back to the correct side they came from.

Thanks for the info. I will go get it and probably change it out some time in the future, no rush, just like to have a replacement around. Thanks again.

Will a dash out of a 94 Cherokee be a direct replacement for the one I have in my 88 MJ. I have a couple of small cracks on top of my dash pad and found a perfect one at the junk yard in a 1994 Cherokee, it looks like it should fit, but I thought I would ask to be sure. Thanks

Hey when you jack it, just don't scratch my paint.

It has 150,450 miles on it and the engine has only 600 miles since full rebuild, I paid just over $3000 for it.

Thanks, when I was looking for an MJ my plans were going to make it an offroader, Lift it up, cut out the fenders and put bushwhacker flares on it, 33 inch tires, and go beat it up in the rocks, like I do with my XJ wagoneer. But this thing was so clean I changed my mind and I am going to try to keep it stock and only a small lift and 31's. Make it my daily driver and to take camping/hunting and the local car shows.

The PO put an aftermarket radio in it. I like simple, easy to operate radios. I also don't think anybody would want to steal a stock radio. I picked up a stock one at the junk yard. Before Image Not Found After I had to change out my dash piece since they cut it up to get the radio in. The newer one does not have the chrome trim like the original. But I think it looks ok.

I put a clock in it that I got at the junk yard. Image Not Found

I put my chrome bumper on that I took off my XJ to put a winch bumper on. Before Image Not Found After Image Not Found

First mod I did was to paint the grill black, I felt like it was too white. Before Image Not Found After Image Not Found

BFG makes a 33x10.0x15 all terrain tire. I had them on my XJ in the 31x10.5x15 size. Worked great for me,(sand, dirt, and rocks. never had them in mud so I don't know about that) When I went to 33x12.5x15 BFG M/T I had to get rims with more offset because they did rub on the frame in the rear. Hope this helps you.

Got a stock AM/FM Cassette radio to put in mine for $14 at the JY from a 1988 Cherokee, Going to remove the fancy aftermarket one the PO put in, to many controls for me, I like simple stuff, and I don't think anyone would want to steal it.

Just because you have slack does not mean the throttle plate is not opening fully. To check this you need two people, one to depress the gas pedal down and the other to see if the throttle plate is open all the way. You would want to adjust the cable so the throttle plate is almost at the point of fully open. You do not want to put extra stress on the cable or the throttle plate shaft.

Funny you should mention the IAC. Found a nice looking IAC on an XJ. Was so clean that it stood out. So I snagged that up. Was only like $8. Got home and tried it on my XJ and works great. So now I have a spare that will work on my XJ and MJ. :D

Well I went to 4 different junk yards so far this week after work and only found one 1987 MJ but it was already stripped out. :( Listed it in the registry for 1987. Still have alot more yards to go.

Thanks for the shopping lists. I'll post up if I find anything. I been to the junk yards looking for XJ parts before, but do not remember ever seeing any MJ's

I am planning on hitting some local junk yards, What are some items that should be salvaged off a Comanche? Like for example, taillights and tailgates. Just would like to save some Comanche only parts from the crushers and maybe help out a fellow Comanche owner that needs parts. Thanks

Glad to hear that you only messed up your bumper. I saw a bumper sticker on a jeep that said, Your car may be fast, but I can take your girlfriend places you can't. Sounds like you could have used this line on your buddy.

Thats cool. I would take that over a motorhome. I sure you and your family will have fun with that and have some good memories.
