  2. I have an extra that I used for practice when I recovered my original headliner. It’s recovered in grey. It’s not what I would call perfect, but decent. $150?
  3. Good morning. i have a couple spares that I don’t think iI am going to need. One that is just the fuse block. $40 shipped? One that has the complete interior harness still connected. $100 shipped? Both out of 88 or 89 junkyard MJ’s and untested. The complete with harness does have a little bit of melt around the fuse labeled Gauge. The other one look great. Both could use a good cleaning.
  4. I have one from an 89 that I grabbed out of a junkyard comanche as an extra. I know it’s out of a 1989 with a 4.0. But I can’t remember if it was a manual or an Auto. But I might have also read that that doesn’t matter? Anyway. It’s also untested since I don’t have the capability to test it without ripping my current working fine ECU out of my truck. Which is also a 1989 4.0 manual. Not sure I really want to do that. But I could let you have it you think it would work for you for $75 shipped?
  5. Wow. Believe it or not, the very first car I ever bought with my own money was a 1976 firebird. And the second one was a 1989 comanche. I still own the second one. Wish I could help you out. But this post sure hit home with me and brought back some pretty good memories. I will keep a lookout around here for anything for you.
  6. Dang. $900 with “few scuffs” and still not free shipping? Do people really spend that much for something like this? I have a chrome tailgate handle I might have to part ways with if it’s worth even a quarter of this amount. It’s not NOS, but might be worth more than my whole truck?
  7. Thank you. I commute about 30 miles each way for work and have two SEM paint supply stores that I know of that I can hit along the way.
  8. Anybody know a good rattle can paint for black bumpers and black trim? Also - flat, matte, semi-gloss or gloss? trying to freshen everything up. So would prefer whatever is closest to original. mine is pretty flat right now but I don’t think it started out life that way.
  9. I need one of these.
  10. Is this what you’re looking for? It’s used, but I don’t need it. Sorry. I don’t have it with me right now. But I think it is in fairly decent used shape. I haven’t cleaned it up or anything. Nothing broken. Maybe a couple road chips. I don’t need it and you can have it for the cost of shipping. But that might cost almost as much as a new one with free shipping these days.
  11. Is this what you’re looking for? It’s used, but I don’t need it.

  13. Found this one a junk yard in Washington State. 😢

  15. Wow. Thank you so much.
  16. 1989 Jeep Comanche Pioneer Colorado Red / 4WD 4.0 / Manual /AX15 / Dana 30 / Dana 35. Short bed. Bench Seat. I have owned this truck since new. (Original Owner) Purchased January of 1990 from Milam Jeep Eagle in Tacoma Washington. Still on the Road in Washington state. I remember It was the last 1989 on the lot in early 1990 and they were already selling the 1990’s so really wanted this one off the lot. It came with dealer installed 2” Rancho Suspension lift (THE ONlY real name in lift kits back in 1990, Haha). Aftermarket 30” Tires/Wheel Combination. And tinted Windows and I thought it was the most awesome truck I had ever seen. I think I paid $12,870 for it but haven’t been able to locate my original window sticker yet.
  17. Thank you 89 MJ. And everyone. I think your comments are spot on and I think have also helped me regain my focus. It is so easy to see all of the great trucks on here and start wondering if I could do that to mine ….. and I seem to go off on a tangent and completely forget where I was going in the first place. greatly appreciated.
  18. Hey thanks guys. I do appreciate it. When I started this “little” project. It was just going to be a freshen up. But then I started doing research and saw some trucks I thought Good but also looked different from mine. I did buy this truck new. In January of 1990. It was the last 89 on the lot and the dealer wanted it gone. So they had put the 2” Rancho lift and the wheels on it and it was pretty much love at first site for me. So it’s not totally stock, but is still “as purchased”. But then I went back to school, met my wife, started a family and a new career, etc. drove it as my daily for the first 10 years or so. But has been more of a third vehicle/truck for the past 20 years. And has admittedly been a little neglected while I had other comments. And my wife snd daughter were making fun of how beat it looked last year and I set out to make her beautiful again since the kids are now out of the house and They got time to do other things. My paint question is really more of a “is this normal “ question. I kind of like the darker, “weathered” red. But was surprised that it would fade so consistently across the truck and even fender flares. And no BE on the firewall tag.
  19. Hi everyone. I am an original owner. 1989 4.0 manual Pioneer. A few newb questions and opinions would be appreciated. So my life was finally in a place where I could start giving the old jeep some long overdue attention. About 6-8 months ago, I was thinking I would just start addressing some of the standard 30+ year cosmetic failures. Drooping headliner, peeling clear coat, etc. But multiple trips to the local picknpull have yielded a few Aftermarket scores among others that I am now debating whether I want to keep or get rid of when I paint. Specifically, the Nerf Bars, Visor and hood scoops. The scoops are original 1960’s -70’s Mopar B-body scoops and are sitting a little high in the picture because I haven’t drilled any holes yet. The nerf bar and visor are also just sitting there propped up for now. I honestly am not sure which ones I should keep? If any? It’s hard for me visualize anything different when I have been staring at the same truck for 30 years. So opinions are welcome. Even brutally honest ones. And also. I always thought my truck was Colorado Red. But as I started removing badges and fender flares, I notice the red underneath is different than the red that has been on top all these years. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this? And if I go in and ask for a Colorado Red repaint, which red will I get? I like the darker, but not sure if that is original Colorado Red? Thanks all.
  20. Thank you SoCal.
  21. I think I may need to replace my O2 sensor. Having a very rich fuel smell in the exhaust. Looks like you can buy them either heated or non-heated. Anyone have any insight on which to get? 1989 4.0 manual. TIA
  22. I think I need some help from the Comanche community on this truck. I am specifically torn on the hood on this one. I think those hood scoops look kinda cool and bad @$$. But then I also know they are just cosmetic stick ons, so then I start convincing myself they look kinda dumb. Also, Do you think they would be more acceptable if I made them functional ? I am in the process of doing a “re-fresh” on my 89’ and I am starting to consider hood options. Thanks.
