  1. Yeah I think it will buff out, Gotta fix that yet. Not real sure how I am gonna go about that just yet.
  2. Yeah it is Hensel. That poor MJ is trashed. Nothing left on it straight at all.
  3. Prolly will do wheel to wheel. I gotta swap tanks out also. Its not my damage it has been beat since I bought it. With my MJ being lifted 7.5 with 35s I have not come even close to touching it. I know it wouldnt hurt but one thing at a time I guess.
  4. It was more than a dent I caved the damn thing in. Oh well time swap to swap boxes and straighten the cab out so the door looks right. I gonna start measure for my rock rail rockers this week. Tryin to decide if I should do the cab only or wheel well to wheel well. I dunno see what I think of next. Truggy idea is inticing but it wheelin season I am gonna ready to play in two weeks tops.
  5. Yep I sure do they are stacked up in my shed. PM me if you wanna know more.
  6. Thanks Guys. Body parts bolt on. I use it and abuse all the time. Thats what I built it for. Right now the right front is bashed in pretty good. Good reason to do my 97-up conversion. All I need is a right front fender. I need some better pics of it up here for you guys. These kinda suck. 88Mjay- I do have to say you have a good taste in tires yourself.
  7. Tha pics are a little fuzzy. I took them just before dark the other night. I got a pretty good deal on a set of 5 BFG Krawlers and a set of 15x10 krawler wheels. I love the new look let me know what you guys think. Plus now I need to find a home for a set a boggers.
  8. The rear most section of the tailpipe is alot longer. It could be fitted to a short box but not worth the effort in imho. I would just have an exhaust shop bend one up for you. It is prolly about the same price of the prebent and built of higher quality pipe. I know because I work in an a shop that does alot of exhaust and won't run a prebent on anything I own ever again. To pricey and way thin pipe.
  9. I would be interested in the wiring diagram that you have. I am getting ready to do this swap. Once I find a rf fender.
  10. I had a customer bring their 00 XJ into the shop with a bad vibration. They had had the rear leaf springs replaced and the axle shimmed by a local axle shop. They even installed a t case lowering kit, new u joints you name it they tried it. I put it on the hoist and the tranny and t case were in there crooked. I unbolted the crossmember and flipped it around, removed the lowering kit and no more shake. Just a thought.
  11. Are you sure you don't have the crossmember in backwards?
  12. Hey rockhound you might wanna check Des Moines craigslist. There is a set of 30x9.50s on there cheap.
  13. I already have the parking sign in my garage.
  14. On my 2.5 I am running a stock replacment type with no cat. It sounds good to me. Not loud but good throat when your rowing it through the gears.
  15. I run a flowmaster 40 on mine and love it. Not that loud unless your railing on it.
  16. At least you got it figured out. Should fix your problem right up.
  17. It is on the side of the tranny. To call it a NSS is really a lie. It is actually a range selector switch. It controls park and neutral starting, back up lights and tells the ecm what gear your have selected. Check out alldata it will break it all down for ya. I have been there before, guys on NAXJA have torn them apart and cleaned them before. I would try that because there are two different styles and one of them is pretty pricey.
  18. Sounds like you have a bad neutral safety switch to me.
  19. Nice thats the way I want my sportruck to look someday.
  20. On mine when I did the flip I built my own shock mounts and welded them to the back side of the axle tube. I tossed the MJ spring plates to the side and used XJ plates. It allowed me to used a pretty long rear shock and never have bottomed them out.
  21. I just swapped a tilt into my 88 from an 87 XJ. Straight forward swap. Although the ignition switch wires are the same the tilt switch is upside down compared to non tilt. No big deal just gotta turn the harness 180 when you install. You will understand when you get it apart. I you have a stick and use a column froman auto you have to bypass the interlock so the key will come out of the switch. Good luck with it.
  22. I couldnt be happier and they don't even know they did it. I am installing it tonite.
  23. I bought a AX4 from a junkyard for $100 and they brought it over to my shop last week. Its tailshaft housing was wrapped in shrink wrap. I went to put in last night and unwrapped the tail, and it was cracked. Called them this morning and told them the problem. They sent out another one off the shelf. They stopped by an hour ago swapped me out trannies. After they left I decided to check out the new one. Tore the wrapping off and start shifting it through the gears and what do you know they sent me an AX5. We all get lucky sometimes plus the Jeep dealer called me and my linkage bracket is in. Now I just need driveshafts.
  24. You right Pete you can never have to many MJs. I just bought my acrage in October so now I have 3 acres to spread them out on. I beleive the are bias TSLs, 29x10.50x15s with almost new tread on them. I only paid 200 for the set and I had the wheels. For being pretty much stock it loks pretty mean, I think. You bet I will measure that for ya. I know it raised me about 2.5 inches over the old 4 banger springs.
