  1. The other day when I called you guys at TNT Drew recommended them also. I am just gonna have to lift the front and make the rear match. I am considering the U bolt eliminators as an option for sure. How long till you guys have some pics of your MJ sliders? Thanks for all the help so far.
  2. I hoping the ARB will keep it closer to 7.5 than that. I am sure a lift shackle will be involved and an add a leaf or replacement springs will be involved. I am thinking of replacing the rears with new ones from JC Whitney. That would fix my sag on the right and I could use the old ones for add a leafs. Will have to see how it sits from there. I like all the help and responses I am getting so far. Thanks
  3. Only problem I really have is right side spring is a little weaker than the left. I need to support it first. Yeah shackles have crossed my mind.
  4. Here is what I am up to. My MJ is going to be in the garage for awhile. It snowed here so there goes wheeling for awhile. I just sold a 92 XJ that I put a motor in and the money is for my MJ only. I ordered up a pair RE 7.5 coils, Rockkrawler track bar and bracket, and Rustys shocks. I am still working the details out with TNT for my longarms. All of this with a few other odds and ends for my Eliminator should have the front taken care of. My question is in the rear. I have already done a spring over in the back. I will still need a couple inches out of the rear. Custom spring packs would be nice but very spendy. I am thinking of a long add a leaf. Do you guys have any better ideas? How about recommendations of a builder for the add a leaf? This is my only real question I have till it is all together. Thanks in advance.
  5. I got my perches off ebay. A place there called Foothill Off Road. Awesome perchs, very heady duty. 32s might look a bit small my 33s look about right but I trimmed my fenders before I put them on. Its all about what you want.
  6. I wouldn't mess with the D35. Get the 8.25, weld the perches and install it. When or if you break it upgrade it to the better 29 spline. I got a 99 8.25 in my MJ. I got tired of breaking my D35 with my 33s. Swapped in the 8.25 and have had no problems since.
  7. I parted out an 86 MJ 2.8 auto 4x4 two years ago that had 4.10s in it. I sold to friend that has them in his XJ still.
  8. To each his own but, I don't like the look. I would prolly try something like that on my tube doors though. My first MJ an 87 had mirrors like a ranger of the same year. Kinda like the full size fords in the 80's. Folded in flat and looked like they kinda belonged there. Just a thought.
  9. It was a decent article. They bought for 500 with a dana 44 in it. By the time they were done they had way over that in it. Was nice to see an MJ getting some of the Jeep spotlight. Even though it was only a two wheeler pusher.
  10. Are you gonna make for Toys for Tots? Just ribbing ya. I made down for Labor Day good time even though I blew my LR axleshaft Saturday afternoon. If you know anyone looking I got another MJ for sale. Its an 1988 4.0 5 speed 4x4 shortbed, pretty nice little truck. Keep your ear open for a buyer for me. Hopefully see ya on the trail soon.
  11. Whats up guys? I have a 91 Eliminator 4.0 AX15 231. I did a SOA in the rear , 4.5 Rough Country coils in the front with Rustys UCA and LCAs. Adjustable track bar, tossed the sway bar. 33s on rockrawlers. Trimmed the fenders, added a lincoln locker in the rear, built my own bumpers. I also added a power steering cooler from a mustang to it. Still gotta finish getting my non disco front axle done and install the 8.25 in the rear. I got 29 spline from a 99 XJ. Gotta finish up my underbodyrock lights too. Just as soon as figure out the pics thing I will post a couple up.
  12. I have used 99 ford f150 super crew 4x4 shocks in the past as a get me by for shocks in the front. They still in use on roomates 89 XJ in the front and we have about 4.5 inches of lift on it now. Just my two cents.
  13. I like them because theres not that many of them around. Compare the number of modified MJs to the number of modified XJs. Thats what I love about mine. Its always an attention grabber.
  14. there are a couple posts on this on naxja. I know for it has been done. Might wanna check that out. Swapping steering coulmns shouldnt be a big because jeep used GM coulmns.
  15. Thanks it worked, now I don't feel so retarded.
  16. i have see a few taillights on ebay lately. I think there is a left one on there now.
  17. I see roughly 4 a month. Last month there was a short bed wo wheel pusher in a local junkyard. Plus a guy bought an XJ hood from me for a MJ he was restoring. Go figure.
  18. On here it accidently became comancheon333 instead of comancheon33. Thanks to junk wireless keyboard I got. If someone could help fix this it would great. Thanks in advance
  19. I just finished a 8.25 29 spline in my 91 eliminator. It was easy, I just moved the spring perches and redid my shock mounts. I fabbed my own shock mounts on my 35 after my SOA. It was no big deal at all. Plus it was half the price of a 44.
