4” Palmetto State Armory upper “homemade” lower, Leupold RDS, she runs pretty good. Wouldn’t trust my life with it but is a fun range toy. Put on a folding buffer tube attachment which gets it pretty small. Definitely fits in a backpack. The other one is identical but 8” PSA upper. -

No real updates on the truck. She has been happily doing the daily grind without any complaints. I did have a front right brake caliper lock up on me recently and got that replaced. Almost to 50k miles racked up on the old girl since I’ve started to daily drive her 2 years ago. Hauling home some more top soil. Moving CommuteChe across the job site the easy way. Lol. Guemes island. We slept in the back of the truck right where she’s parked at there. Woke up to a beautiful San Juan Island view. My parents neighbor had a couple trees taken down and offered us the wood. Couldn’t pass on easy to get free fire wood -

Another awesome video. Thank you for posting. My wife and I really enjoy watching your adventures. Keep up the good work. The XJ looks great with the new paint job. Your videos are showing up on YouTube shorts now too! Liked n subscribed! -
Where are you getting your carpet from? Are you getting a kit or local source?
-
Dang, She’s looking good. Keep up the good work!

Are you in Western Washington?

I’ve been hauling home topsoil from my job site for yard repair. I’ve hauled maybe 6-7 loads home like this. Just fill it up until it spills over the back right?

Saw this guy going down Highway 512 in Puyallup Washington. Body was pretty straight. Only if the people behind us knew how rare it is to see 2 MJs side by side down the highway.

Spotted this Gem on a road trip in New Mexico at a local junkyard. She is absolutely beautiful. Wish I could have got it. 4 speed 2.5L 2wd LWB

This is true.

Boise Idaho junkyard, “Jalopy jungle” Fairly well parted out 86. 2.5L 5 speed, D35, fuel tank still there. Nothing too good left over at this point. Mirrors seem to be different.

That’s like a “thing” up here in Washington. Mainly XJs but a few MJs as well. Not a fan personally. -

I’ve also had good luck with Yukon gears and axle shafts. I have a set of very beat on D44s with Yukon R&P + Rear shafts that I’ve never had any problems with. (35” tires) My friend spun his Yukon pinion and broke teeth in a D30 front with 36” tires, so they do have their limitations. -

Have had some clunking on acceleration as of lately, found a bad driver side motor mount. Hopped on FB market place and just happened to find a pair of installed but never used Brown Dog off road ultra flex motor mounts for $50. Scooped em up as quickly as possible and got them installed tonight. Not the prettiest ever but not complaining. Can paint them if it bothers me in the future. -

Welcome to the addiction! Well worth the $500! Good save. Looking forward to progress on the old girl. -
Fully agree with this! PNW Truck with vinyl floor had rusted through (not terribly) because of soaking wet insulation. It probably weighed 50 lbs when I removed it.

I thought that upgrade by Cruiser54 was for Renix only? Think it’s “mostly” Renix tips. All grounding upgrades apply to all MJs. I do to as much as possible from his list to my HOs, seems to make the trucks much happier. -

That will definitely impede air flow! Be sure to do the Cruiser54 ground upgrade while your there too. Makes a big difference in fan performance -
Looks good to me!
