  1. Please see photos. The blue jacketed lines, that are on the top of the engine manifold, near the fuel pressure regulator are damaged, hell pinched off. The only thing left is that blue jacket material. Plus the rubber ends are badly deteriorated. Note: the brass fitting is me trying to check the pressure of what the regulator is producing, please disregard that.
  2. Me too. One rusty spot, worries me though. Just what can be done with this area, to make it a long lasting repair? Some folks say, apply corner guards... well heck, all that does is cover it up. It does not help it, structurally!!!
  3. Looking forward to it, but also looking forward to a working AC vehicle!!!
  4. In my formidable years, my father always told us boys, that you will never own a motorcycle or a Jeep Wrangler. He considered that those two motorized vehicles were death traps. God rest your soul, Dad. Today, I placed a down payment on a 2005, Jeep Wrangler TJ Rubicon. It is bone stock, yes the body sheet metal has typical rust, but its frame/skeleton and running gear, are in great condition. The soon to be, previous owner took very good care of it and each time that it was driven on salty roads, they would put it through an automatic car wash/undercarriage wash. It was their DD, but it also was always garage kept. Spring of 2020, I will address each rusty area, individually and eventually, nip those problems in the bud. I will also Fluid Film its undercarriage and keep it coated, throughout time. Every option, works as it should. 6-speed manual, 4.0 liter with 107k miles on it. Plus all of the typical equipment, that you will find on a Rubicon. It will remain to be, strictly my DD. No mods, within the foreseeable future. My MJ gets all of the attention. So here, I present you to the '11th Hour' Yes, that its name. It was listed on Facebook Marketplace, for 11 hours, before I discovered it. Also, in reference to, Matthew 20: 1-16. It is my wish to apply bible verses, that mean something to me, on its white body panels in decals and it will be GDZ Jeep.
  5. OBTW, my original axles were swapped for a 96 donor Cherokee. Front D30HP, Rear Chrysler 8.25.
  6. Please forgive for maybe using the wrong terminology here, but here I am going to throw my hat into the ring... can a 5x4.5" hub (the part that the wheel mounts too 'ring shaped structure, that the wheel studs are inserted into'... whatever that is called) can that be switched to a 5x5" replacement/swap? Please advise! Thanks in advance :)
  7. Goodbye to the chug-a-chuga-chug! The above sentence, strangely reminds me of this song... lol! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NrI-UBIB8Jk
  8. Too hot, in that area!
  9. Around the Pittsburgh, PA area O'reillys are as dumbfounded as NAPA. My XJ had the outboard axle UJ go bad and I tried them, for once. Each and every part I bought (yes, they searched for it), had to be returned. What sad sack auto parts store!!!
  10. Thank you kindly! When I showed that NAPA 'know how' wingnut' me briefly looked on his computer and quickly said, no sir, we do not that part.
  11. Where can I get that kit at? Please advise :)
  12. Rubber boot that leads into the fuel delivery diaphragm has developed a tear. Therefore, my lil champ chugs up the highways and byways. The two auto parts companies, that I have tried (Rockauto and NAPA) does not have any sort of part. The hard portion of the line seems to be intact. Please advise! Thanks in advance :)
  13. Mine is external, so I will see if it needs fluid.
  14. Yes, that was what I was referring too. I was at work when I posed that question and I hardly get a spare second, let alone a minute to post a question.
  15. My AX15 is full. Funny thing, I had that transmission, fully rebuilt, so why is it seeping? Another question? Somewhere, I thought that I read, that the power steering pump, interacts with the manual transmission slave cylinder. Is that true?
  16. How do I add gear oil in an AX15? And at what weight? Please advise!
  17. I am, but let me do a little digging to see, just how many parts of the 97+ XJ header bulb sockets, differ from the 87 Comanche sockets. If by doing this swap makes my life easier, then this swap will get done sooner, rather that later.
  18. Is it difficult to do? Could I simply use these, in my OEM fuse block? https://www.amazon.com/terminal-vehicle-instrument-spring-BX2201-2/dp/B077QK2KKR/ref=asc_df_B077QK2KKR/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=330426419246&hvpos=1o8&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5738244723008417193&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9051543&hvtargid=pla-678047445747&psc=1
  19. I need to replace bulb sockets. Also, as i understand that some company sells brass contacts for our fuse boxes, where can I purchase them at? Please advise.
  20. Question: Power steering fluid, what is the recommended fluid for the above truck specs?
  21. Nothing gets done to it right now. I spoke to its PO and he told me that the person who owned it before him, had the hoses all replaced, the radiator too, yes that has been 7+ years ago, but the PO barely drove it. I get the feeling that he used it for a toy, running in the deserts.
  22. I got a tongue lashing on FB about this very twinkie post... lol!
  23. I am contemplating on putting RV antifreeze in my closed radiator system. Is that copacetic?
