  1. Thank you! I made revisions to make the install process better. Air is pretty bad here from forest fires and I really don't want to smell like smoke and get a headache so it'll have to wait. That gives me more time to get the ball nailed down, the threads are being temperamental so I have to make a jig to tap them. I'll probably have the panel for sale without the ball before then for anyone interested in buying their ball separately.
  2. I added installed photos, it needs another revision before sale though.
  3. I only have broken visor clips, I can't seem to find them on ebay either. I was hoping someone could help me out with the overall dimensions using a caliper and a few photos from different angles.
  4. Yeah, the Chinese USB "Carling" I got was at least 1/4" larger than it should have been. They don't seem to care about proper dimensions. Carling is actually the company the original switch was made by, the style is "Contura" since Carling makes a ton of different switches. I'm glad I could help.
  5. My parents house has a 1.5 foot tall Bald faced hornet nest (Actually Wasps) next to it. There are wasps everywhere right now. They're nasty little buggers, and apparently bald faced hornets can recognize faces and will attack people they've seen before over a new person. No stings yet but I did have one bounce off the top of my head twice before I decided I'm not going to get my stuff out of their shed.
  6. Final version got pushed behind an order so it might not be installed tonight. I do have a photo of the proto-type with the Ram mount now. Also working on my own ball mount, it just needs testing but it should reduce the overall cost a bit.
  7. New panel allowing you to replace your cigarette lighter with USB ports or a rocker switch and a reinforced mount for a 1" ball mount for RAM or Quadlock phone mounts. Panel only, does not include USB ports/ switches or 1" ball This is a new panel made of strong, temperature resistant ABS plastic. It fits one Carling rocker type switch /device (Carling, Contura). The finish is raw ABS plastic that can be painted as needed. I recommend painting, ABS scuffs easy (turns glossy when bumped) and may have inconsistencies. Ball and Ram Mount Links RamMount Phone holder: Here QuadLock holder: Here Arm: Here Note: Many low quality USB ports don't actually have Carling dimensions but claim they do. I Recommend Blue Sea Systems since they're reputable and have proper dimensions. Thanks to Pete for the phone mount idea. Price: 33.00
  8. Carling dimensions are .83" x 1.45" ; 21.08mm x 36.83mm I've added a bit of tolerance for bad china knockoffs, so most everything fits. Unless it's really bad. Those are Nilights from Amazon in the photo. I can make a gauge mount if you've got the OD dimension of the gauge you have. The downside to having a blank plate would be its strength. If the panel is 100% solid it wouldn't be as strong. It sounds counter intuitive but it's better. If it wasn't 100% solid then the infill lines would be exposed where it's cut and the edge of the hole wouldn't be very strong.
  9. These tail lights would be made of ABS plastic and use standard 6" oval truck lights. Below is a rendering of the right side. Oval lights can be found in stop/turn/tail/backup as shown below or stop/turn/tail for the sides.
  10. Here I was, thinking no one else would care. PM sent
  11. I wasn't happy with the low quality universal stereo with tabs meant to break off so I made one. This mount is Much stronger than the Chinese mounts. Made with strong, temperature resistant ABS plastic. $23.00 Message me for shipping to Canada.
  12. This is the one I used. Jeepair.com Cherokee Liquid Line Drier to Condenser 27-5551 1 $43.99
  13. This switch panel allows you to replace the clock panel with four switches This is a new panel made of strong, temperature resistant ABS plastic. It fits four Carling rocker type switches (Carling, Contura). The finish is raw ABS plastic that can be painted as needed. Switches are not included Price: $23.00 Shipped Blank version: A blank version is available to eliminate the clock without switches.
  14. New panel allowing you to replace your cigarette lighter with USB ports or a rocker switch. This is a new panel made of strong, temperature resistant ABS plastic. It fits one Carling rocker type switch /device (Carling, Contura). The finish is raw ABS plastic that can be painted as needed. Panel only does not include USB ports/ switches. Note: Many low quality USB ports don't actually have Carling dimensions but claim they do. I Recommend Blue Sea Systems since they're reputable and have proper dimensions. Two Carlings will not fit here due to HVAC ducting. Price: $25 Shipped
  15. This switch panel allows you to add two switches to the stock panel position. This panel replaces the original panel, blockoff plate, or one switch panel to the left of the steering column. It eliminates stock panel labels that mislabel your switches. This is a new panel made of strong, temperature resistant ABS plastic. It fits two Carling rocker type switches (Carling, Contura). The finish is raw ABS plastic that can be painted as needed. Switches not included Price: $25 Shipped
  16. I'm wondering where exactly they bolt up. I've found a few posts of people asking the exact same question but no answers. It's weird that DBO has no documentation. If you have them please post where they mount. I have a full traction long arm bracket and I'm wondering if I'll have to modify the sliders.
  17. I have the plastic panel that goes just below the window but what goes below that? I can't seem to find a picture that clearly shows it but it looks like carpeted board? What is it? what does it look like? I have an 88 bucket seat gray interior chief.
  18. Fire? ritual sacrifice? I planned on keeping it but the shifter seals are rotted out and my attempts to replace them only made things worse. I imagine I wore out some bushings trying to separate the shifter since it's really sloppy now. I can't find an AX15 and I have an Aw4 lying around so I guess I'll go automatic.
  19. I finished my bumper today, a Dirtbound DIY manta ray. Friday I'll be putting new motor mounts in, replacing the oil filter adapter orings and changing the oil. Then she's getting a good pressure wash before weld the brackets to the bumper. I'm pretty sure I mentioned the whole jeep undercarriage is coated in mud. She was road hard and put away wet for sure. Tacked: Welded: Cleaned:
  20. A little progress today. I got the dash back in. Got an adapter for my welder so hopefully I can get to work on some more fun stuff. If anyone's interested the sockets on the Mac keys worked, After a few days of the boot loop I got into recovery and reformatted it, it no longer is boot looping. No thanks to Apple who told me to bring it in to their apple store 100 miles away.
  21. I put a new tranny mount in the MJ which I figured would be easy but it turned out 5 out of the 6 bolt holes were stripped out. Atleast the studs were good. I got them all tapped to 7/16 and replaced the hardware. I just had to wait to get my new bolts back, as I was also trying to reformat my fiancee's Mac that's stuck in a sleep/wake loop which it rarely breaks out of. I ended up replacing them with deep sockets. (windows >mac)
  22. I'm on the Jayco forum seems a lot of them are bad. They also has a "Quality control stand down" the month after mine was made... lucky me.
  23. Well Covid $#!& on that plan, we traveled for a few months but I'm back now. A little progress on demething my MJ. The battery tray hardware was rotted out the battery was held down with a bungee cord and a dream. I cleaned up the metal, painted it and installed a DBO tray. A few more dirtbound bits will be coming soon after I make a trip to grab more of my tools and welder early next month.
