does a tail lamp assembly off a 84-96 cherokee fit the MJ's??

The time has come for the paint choice..I am open to suggestions..You folks have seen the pics of the 12" lift MJ and i need some help on paint choice. My uncle and I are leaning toward a copy of the "Ultimate Tailgator" International that was done on CMT's trick my truck. keep in mind this is not a rock crawler but not a mall crawler either. Help me out and any pics of some cool paint jobs are welcome. All we need is a pic and we can copy or adapt to our liking...Help me out. :brows:

Hell...I think I am gonna go downtown and see if i can't go ahead and rent me a jail cell since I am obviously gonna kill every person on the streets of Georgia with this extremely unsafe vehicle. Only other option is to sell it to an engineer or carry to scrap yard.

Removing the t-case is a beeotch because of the top bolts..Hanes manual says you must drop transmission and remove exhaust to access these bolts..Any other suggestions...I am leaning toward cutting me an access panel thru the floorboard as i see this as a poor engineering flaw that can be rectified. :brows:

Not much to show to date. In the process of removing the T-case to install a slip yoke eliminator. The towers arent too tall if they don't hit are they? And they aint gonna hit as the original mounts that drop off the uni have been removed. And as stated before the xmember mount will be reinforced. Once this sye is installed i should have some pics of this thing going thru the paint process.. :popcorn:

d30 up front...8.8 w/locker in rear..It hasnt been driven on the road yet to be able to tell ya how the stearin works but it feels pretty tight..I am puttin in a advanced adapters SYE right now then i will put on new front shocks and a steerin stabalizer. And as far as an aftermarket kit...You aint gonna find one if you lift it over a certain point..Just put a CUSTOM (homeade) kit on it...Then its the way you want it anyway.. ;)

Could be a bad ground....things get whacky with no ground.

Chromos is a possibility but until these snap I am gonna leave well enouogh alone not to mention i have 3 xtra sets :nuts:

yeppers..good eye..its a tractor link...yes it is temp. but fit perfect...needed something and it was there..without it the truck almost fell over in the garage. :eek:

yes its the final tire size...when i beef the xmember i plan on wrappin the unibody with a U shaped piece of 1/4"...I can't lower the upper arm towers too much or I will be into the chunk on the front end(i removed steering knuckles and rotated chunk for driveline angle)..Also stress will not be as severe as this is not a rock crawler but more of a mudder and play toy. Otherwise I would not have lifted as much and would have cut the fenders. ;)

remember...this is a work in progress...the towers on the long arms are yet to be trimmed along with the trac bar tower...the trac bar needs to be lowered another 1" or so and then cut off..If it hits the oil pan the tires will be sticking out of the top of the hood...the towers on the long arm hit where the stock arm brackets drop off the unibody..cut one side off just havent done the other yet...and finally the stock crossmember will be beefed up this weekend..

8" skyjacker with ACOS maxed out..36" TSL's....yeah the rust on the suspension stuff is surface where i havent painted yet and where the door meets the fender(hits) is the only other spot...New door and fender coming soon.

Ohhh and yes it is squattin in the back right now...It has 2 d30 and a 8.25 axles in the back along with some other junk..It sits level when empty.

Ok trailered her back to the house last night from my friends house. Got a few more suspension and drivetrain things to complete then comes interior, body work, new paint...Being in the south i am lucky to have 3 MJ's with NO rust whatsoever..Here's some pics of it on the trailer this morning.

Or you could do like i did..(pics coming in morning)...but that would involve changing over from tre's to Hjoint and elevated bracketry.
