  1. arent they 7/8 thread? Yes i can look tonight but i was gonna go ahead and order some from work today. And i am assuming that a d30 out of a 92 cherokee will be the same :dunno:
  2. This is how it sits now on the 36's. compared to how it started
  3. You got a pic of that set up jage?
  4. I am with ya hoss..I aint buying the ACOS..200bones..I am going to make my own since i am lucky enough to have the tools to do so. I now understand the reasoning for the hollow threaded pipe on the ACOS it is so it can slide over the stock coil cup(not removable). I am going to try to remove the skyjacker coils by compressing them and lifting the body as high as possible. As we say here in the south.."hey watch this" lol.
  5. so i unscrew the bumpstop then is there a bolt that runs up thru the center holding the coil cup to the fender?
  6. I know i have been told to cut my fenders rather than go with the ACOS. Ignoring this fact i am going to try it anyway as i am completely overhauling the front anyway when i install the crossover steering. The question i have is how do the upper coil spring perches w/ the bumpstops come off. There are no bolts or nuts on the fenderwells under the hood and no apparant bolts ran up from the bottom where the bumpstops are. The lovely haynes manual has no mention of it.
  7. cutting it up for scrap?? Yeah that ought to bring him about a buck o five.
  8. that folded up paper above the rebar could be cash
  9. the lower corner portion of the flares toward the front..but i know off the pavement a lot more gonna be..higher doesnt bother me too bad cause i either need to lift the front or lower the rear to level her out so raising the front would be killin 2birds..I am going to completely redo the front stuff anyway when i put crossover steerin on it.
  10. The more i look at the adjustable spacers the more i think i can build a set of those..Mine may not be all sparkly but be functional :brows:
  11. Ok i got my 36's on and they rub in the front bad. can't turn more than say 11 to 1..Its got the 8"skyjacker so my only option is to use coil spacers(don't want to hack the fenders)..The largest neo spacer i can find is 1.75" but rusty's has an adjustable spacer that adjust from 1.75 to 3". Anybody have knowledge of this? Of course the adjustable is 200bones.
  12. come on pete, pong, or some other MJ master, hep me hep me
  13. Sounds like i am better off just stickin w/ the 8.8 rear d30 front and seeing how it will hold up.
  14. isnt the chunk on the wrong side of a d44 to work in the front? I thougt the waggy d44 chunk was passenger side. :dunno:
  15. On a dana 44 the chevy tie rod ends fit in the holes where the tie rods connect...Is this the same for the dana 30 on MJ's? :dunce:
  16. Yeah i went..Pretty much sucked..All bling :ack: bling and no substance. I did get some 36" swampers for 169$ ea though..Not too bad.
  17. out of a sport trac..but it should be the same as the explorer..the sport trac is an explorer but with a pickup bed. I just can't find anything on the web that says it is for sure the same.
  18. I am considering upgrading my front since i am installing an 8.8 rear. It currently has the d30. Just bought a set of 36's this weekend and this is just a thought so give me some ideas.
  19. I hope to get a good deal on some 36' tsl's and some wheels
  20. For any of those around the Atlanta area don't forget Truckfest this saddy and sundy. Hopefully I am gonna get some good deals there.
  21. 195$ a pc for 36 tsl's doesnt sound too bad..i paid that for my 33 ground hawgs on my cj 8 years ago...all the used tires i find have so much rock rash on em they look like an abortion lug pattern.
  22. don't you think i ought to go w/ 15x10 rather than 15x8??
  23. I'm going 36's..they are cheaper than 35's...If i have to i will just lift it more..I need some 15x10 wheels w/ 3.5 or 3.75 backspace if anybody knows of some lemme know.
  24. parts is parts  worked till it broke though didnt it.. :D
  25. I am currently runnin d30 front and a 8.25 rear...prolly gonna go to the 8.8explorer in the rear to have disc brakes....I know i am fixing to hear 36's won't work w/ these axles...pffffft...I have been running 33 hawgs on my stock cj axles for over almost 30yrs..Yes it still has the amc 20...Everyone says it won't work..I say it works till it breaks.
