Thanks guys, after I posted this, I did further research on internet and talked to ppl and they all confirmed what has been posted.

I'm sanding some surface rust off the MJ to the bare metal, I bought some sandable primer to spray on the metal, but I noticed alot of guys on here use self etching on the metal. What is the major difference between the 2? Should I take back the sandable and get self etching?

Yes, the axle is original. Everything on the truck is original. I replaced the hoses, they were rotten on the inside.

I have a 2wd, 6cyl, auto, 87 MJ. I have vibration above 40+ mph only why I'm accelerating. If I let off the gas vibration stops. My mechanic checked the U joint and said it was fine. He said the timing is off and could not take the distributor cap off as its seized to the engine. He advised for me to put premium gas in it to see if the vibration stopped. I did this, and vibrations did not stop. We put new plugs in, and checked all electrical connections. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I'm thinking about taking it to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion.

When I turn on turning signals only the rear ones work. Do I have an electrical problem or is there no front turning signals?

i have some surface rust on the bed, i've never had to remove rust so I'm wondering, do I just get a wire brush and old fashioned elbow grease or is there some liquid rust remover stuff I should put on first, then wire brush it?

When I had my TJ I was always looking on cardomain.com for ideas for mods to it. Thats when I stumbled upon MJ's. I like unique vehicles and Jeep's so I think its a perfect combo.

Cause whoever the last owner was, was not good on keeping up maintenance. The oil was very black when changed. The p/s and coolant are low and I figured best to start off completely fresh.

Which line is it?

Is there a plug I can pull to drain it? Or do I have to get a tool to suck it out?
