does anyone else have aproblem with there interior windows fogging up. It rains a lot where I live. there is always an excessive amount of moisture on the inside of the windows and it takes a while for the defroster to do its job. I know I have a leak around my fuse box but I don't have a puddle on the floor just a little damp carpet. anyone have the same problem? allen

I went way over the top, its a long story so I won't get into it to much. I used por 15 on the rusty spots, then got that dyna mat sound deadner( apartly there is a reaL inexpensive version at home depot sorry I don't remember the name) after that I laid down 2 coats of herculiner then went to a upohlserty shop and got half inch jute padding then laid the carpet. my rigs pretty quiet except for the tires and exhaust.

Are those AVS window shades? actually there are ventvisor/shade brand, you have to order them cause no parts places carry them.

anyone hear back from the guy at protofab? -
so I have to protect my rockers and would like to paint my flares and can't decide what to do. I got this and one of the guys on naxja did this for me not sure which way to go I thought about just getting grey herculiner, but not sure if it would just get stained by dirt and look like crap. Anyone ever try durabak? I tink they have a grey smooth finish. that might not hold dirt as easily. What do you guys think?

you guys gonna make longbed rockers Ha! it's wierd jeep sold more longbeds than short ones yet noone makes sliders for them.

things that I have thought of, sliders rear bumper= gota be functional, lower rocker protection, someplace for the license plate and a light to keep it legal, pull points, close fitting, deep enough to use it as a step, I like a hitch reciever only for a center pulling point. also something to mount a spare tire thats all for now -

I am very interested I have talked to detours offroad about some, I tink eagle gave them a scrap rig to do a prototype set, but nothing evercame of it. I know JCR has a lwb mj that the started to do some fabbing on but they have been getting swamped with xj orders so sliders and a rear bumper got put on the back burner. It would be nice to see some sliders for both the swb and lwb and a rear bumper, my old man complains everytime we go somewhere together "damm kid and his lifted truck" -

what about replacing the self proportioner witrh a knob adjusted one? allen -
got my new rear drive shaft in today wow! what a difference I got it up to 75 and no vibrations. the truck never ran that smooth when stock. no pic sorry.
-
yep, RE drop Brackets and RE adjustable arms top and bottom. believe it or not For about 2 years I ran 8.5 inches of lift on just the short control arms, they were hanging on by a bout an inch of thread each. mit wasn't that horrible of a ride it sucked off road though

had this truck for 5 years and have modded it since I got it but I just recently got a digital camera to share my mods. first mod after buying the mj was a Borla header then M.O.R.E. motor mounts. Had the seats recovered, new headliner, recovered the door panels, dyno matted the floor pan then 2 coats of herculiner, and a new carpet kit and a laraedo center consule. installed a CB and a secondary fuse block behind the pass. kick panel, rusty's intake then the big build. 8.5 inches of lift consisting of RK 6.5" coils 2" pucks, SOA in the rear 4.56 gears and arb's. swapped in a ax-15, D44 rear. 35" MT/R's, custom front winch bumper with M8000 intake with a heat shield I fabbed up for 20 bucks Image Not Found premium sound system just putin in a rock crusher d30 cover, very beefy I POR 15 'nd it Image Not Found the pump mounted in my truck bed box, routed the wire using a stuffing tube thru the bed Image Not Found just put in a tom woods SYE and a new driveline when it gets here. Image Not Found and an overall pic Image Not Found sorry about the pic sizes, still figuring this stuff out

need rear suspenion help from mj bretheren
87mjdriver replied to 87mjdriver's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
well I got a set of RK boomerang shackles on the way adjustable from 1.5 or 2 inch lift. anbody one some 2 inch blocks? -
Lokking at my truck it appears to have a good rake to it and it also has a lot of wheel hop, mopre on that later. so I get out a tape and measure from the ground the rocker panel (just aft of the front tire and forward of the rear tire) and I find out that I am 1 inch taller in the rear( seams taller). I am rolling with 8.5 inches of lift up front an a SOA with a 2 inch block in the rear. like I said I am getting horibble wheel hop so I thought I should take out the blocks to eliminate the hop. but what to do about the lost inch in in the rear. a)get a 2 inch AAL. I worry that this might be to stiff to flex and ruin the street ride but it would definatly kill the hop. OR B) I found set of shackles from rocky road off road that should give me 1 inch or a set from rock crawler that will give me 1 1/2 inches, I don't how the shackles would effect the ride. which would you do and why thank you allen
