  1. Oh the $66 item? Ouch.
  2. I looked on rockauto for a sender, but they didn't have one.. Anyone know where I could get one it's a 87 jeep comanche 2.5L.. It goes all the way to the right (flat line) when I crank the car up and it stays in that position. And I emailed my grandfather about the filter and it is the amsoil system. I'm just not sure how to remove it.. lol P.S. thanks for everyone's help so far!
  3. So I should look up like a Cherokee on rockauto and get one or the gauges?
  4. I would le to know how you do this when you're done. Interesting
  5. This is what the hose from the 'T' fitting goes to... Can't really see, but this is up close, And this is where the other hose leads to... Is it amsoil?
  6. I will try and get a picture of the device that I am talking about. I'm not sure what it is.
  7. My grandfather did say he had amsoil installed on it... When I got the truck I never could find the amsoil system, but I guess I found it, right? haha
  8. Got it installed but now it reads way passed 80... 180 degrees from when engine is shut off
  9. The hose on mine goes to I guess the vacuum "bubble" behind the front bumper... But I've tried to hold the T and screw the unit out but it won't budge..
  10. IS this the oil pressure switch? I can not make it come off ABOVE the hose... But it turns below the hose... Is that correct?
  11. Junkyard it.. Chevy drop shackles, and front ZJ V8 coils.. They say it gets around 1"-1.5" lift..
  12. I got a new sending unit not long ago and haven't had time to install it. I will install it today hopefully after painting the kitchen for my mom and see if it changes anything.
  13. gauge cluster, I swapped gauge clusters, from an XJ but they both read the same pressure
  14. I've seem to be getting about 75-80 psi oil pressure lately... It has been like this ever since I got the truck. I plan on doing an oil change, and with that oil change I will be dropping the oil pan to see what condition the oil screen is in.. If the screen is in pretty good shape, what else could be the problem? Thanks
  15. Yeah was thinking that, my friends friend has a 99 xj 175k 2wd wanting to get rid of cause of a head gasket. Said it overheated and I'm not sure if head or block is warped.. Wanting like $800 might talk down to $500
  16. I might be able to do the valve job at school. And hey, you're local haha
  17. Where is a good place to get all the seals and gaskets? The machine shop?
  18. You're right. I probably just need to rebuild the transmission and see what that does, because I know the clutch is going out.
  19. Well I don't think my truck can handle 60-70 mph for an hour and a half. And the valve seals are probably gone too. And what better than to have a fresh engine?
  20. I'm looking for a little more power. It burns a little oil right now. Just want some power and be able to drove it about an hour and a half trip to Spartanburg.. Which it won't make it now.
  21. I am thinking about rebuilding my 2.5L just so I can have a truck that is good on gas. I am rebuilding the trans in my transmission class at school so I will basically have a new truck.. Last night I filled up my tank and I parked it at the Lowe's parking lot and went with my girlfriend, when I arrived back about 2-3 hours later, there was a puddle of gas under my truck.. It was coming from the sending unit (Guess I need to find one of those). Anyway, for those of you that have rebuilt your trucks engine, what is a good list to get?
  22. Thanks, It was sitting for about 2 months with my uncle.. I started to drive it once I got it and it has been doing that ever since, but got worse as I drove. I did hear about what you're talking about. Friend at church told me that that is how him and his dad figured it out. haha Thanks again.
  23. No one? I know might have luck with a brand new turn signal connector... Any thoughts on the others?
  24. So lately I have been driving my TJ around a lot. I don't drive the COmanche around because whenever I let off the clutch, it starts to shake, like it's not catching... Is that a clutch problem? Should I wait till the fall to rebuild my transmission in class? - Also, I replaced my blinker switch, the old blinker light bulb was corroded on to the old connector, so I went to the JY I cut off one from a 86-91 Cherokee, same side. Spliced them on, put the bulb in, turn the lights on and the blinker light stays on, on the gauge cluster... - Also, is the oil pressure sending unit next to the distributor on the 2.5L? (lol, not sure, the one I got looks a bit different)
