This could be a dumb question, but I was wondering if I could use a amp without a sub? I guess, get more out my speakers in the door and behind the seats? Would I plug the amp in the RCA jacks in the back of the unit and call it a day or..? I know there's additional wiring than just that for the amp (power, ground), but do I actually plug my speakers into the amp? How would I go about doing this.. THanks

I replaced my headliner awhile back and ever since I did it I have heard everything much louder.. Like there is no headliner there at all... I got a used one from the junkyard because my old ripped when taking it out.. Could it be something with that? Should I take it out again and put insulation up top? I plan on taking the interior out here soon, again, to put some speakers in. Thanks for any advise...

Usually with that connector, you have to buy a catalytic converter and a down pipe to get a new bracket.. I would take it to an exhaust shop and ask if they could weld you in a new bracket, but most likely that bracket is connected to the catalytic converter and the downpipe. Good luck If I'm wrong, please correct me! Don't want give any false info...

If you had a rod knock, what would you do?
87Chief replied to Dedaw's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Did you check your exhaust system? Check the part that connects right next to the oil pan, and a little up, sometimes that comes lose.. -
The rear should have a tag also. Unless someone has been in it and threw it away.

I saw on YouTube where a guy had a knock after a few seconds from starting it.. he found out that it was a cracked head in the #3 and #4 cylinder.. I can't remember the name of it but it was a green 97-01 Cherokee Very helpful video Goodluck -

Drove through puddle - now loud, loss of power
87Chief replied to LobsterThief's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Might sound weird but it works.. Cut a water hose about a foot or 2 and put it to your ear and go along the exhaust system. Also I would check your distributor cap I went puddlin with some buddy's one time and I had a loss of power and some water got into my distributor cap. Good luck! -

Yeah, exactly... That's why I come here where people actually know what they're doing. -
Hey guys, I'm not sure what this is called.. sorry, it is the latch when you open the door and look in between the hinges and it's bolted to the door. I look on my passenger side and it was bolted on, but on the driver's side, I only see one nut and some sheet metal ripped on the bottom? Did anyone else have this issue? Thanks Driver's side Passenger:

Funny thing is that he said it couldn't go anymore negative, so I came on here and you guys said it needed to be 7 degrees POSITIVE, so.. took it back and put it on the rack and he said forward is not postive, I said, yes, yes it is.. He said ok look, he moved the control arm forward, it went from 2.5 degrees POSITIVE to 3 degrees POSITVE. I said and that's not going positive? He said well it has to go back to zero and then make it's way back up... :huh???: I said whatever dude, and told him to back it out. Funny thing, he's the mechanic where I work. I'm only the tire tech so I can't touch my own car in the shop.. Next thing I'm going to do is take it to my old college and talk to the instructor and see if he will let me do my OWN alignment. -

well i went to the dealer here.. And they said they don't have 2 part numbers for the adjust clevis (#5) only one.. Should I just get some 4mm shims and throw those in? It would make probably make it better.. right? -
PM me the info for ordering, i'd be in for a gloss black one.

I will pictures asap.. I run 265/75r15 tires (31x10.5) and I think I understand with the adjustment shoe.. That's the part the lower control arm actually bolts to correct? That could be the shorter of the two? -

Ok, went back again.. He showed me when he moved the Lower Control arm all the way forward, the nuts almost all the way out, it only went up to 3.4 degrees.. I do have the WJ lower control arms on.. Should I be looking for adjustable lower control arms? Thanks everyone so far! -

Ok, so the degrees for caster would 6.5-7.5... not 0 degrees correct?
