  1. I hope you've been good this year!
  2. So, what does a paint job like that run? If I may be so forward.
  3. Okay, you sold me, order placed! Used the last of my Christmas bonus, but I'm sure it will be totally worth it!
  4. So, my question is this: Can I safely use the clock version unmounted? I have other plans for the clock panel.
  5. a Renix scan tool!!!!!!! Looks like @NickInTimeFilms won't have any scanners in the foreseeable future and trying to cobble together a Snap-on set is pricey and kind-of difficult. Are there no other options? I'm not finding anything that I think may work, but I'm not savvy with this stuff.
  6. I can do that. This guy builds race trucks, so I feel good about his recommendations.
  7. They said it was loose and was tightened. I do have steering issues at around 55. I'll probably just go with a Dorman. It's a stock 4wd truck. Nothing freaky going on with wheels or tires, etc.
  8. Folks, my garage tells me my track bar needs a replacement. They tightened it up and recommended I replace soon. Anyway, the price of these things is all over the place. I drive street 95%+. Any suggestions for a quality, cheap option?
  9. I don't have any experience with it, however, I understand you can apply it with a brush, roller or spray because it's self-leveling. Traditional auto paint is not self-leveling. I have a lot of experience with rattlecans, spraying small parts, etc, so I know it can run. Yikes! If you know of a solid method for DIY, please share. I'd love to know that knowledge and be more smarter!
  10. Mainly it's DIY friendly. Which, in turn, means cheaper. I need both! I also like the look.
  11. I had read that it works as an insulator and sound deadening as well.
  12. I saw @Pete M used some spray bed liner for some fender flares, but has anyone painted their whole truck with it? And, is the spray stuff as good as the roll-on, for durability?
  13. Why is that? Does the headliner actually keep the cab cooler? I always thought it was cosmetic.
  14. Lost track of this thread. The vibration in not audible, like a clanking, you feel it through the steering wheel and overall cab. Only at idle. Otherwise, it's running good.
  15. I've heard of some folks just doing away with the liner and painting the roof with bed liner.
  16. That's interesting. I'll check that too.
  17. When I had the intake off, I noticed one was loose. Only checked that one though.
  18. Picking it up tomorrow. Had some additional vacuum leaks and got a new belt for the squeak. Jeff at SRS Auto says it runs good although a vibration can be felt in the cab during idle. He couldn't figure that out. Could just be age.
  19. Replaced "new" cps with old cps and it runs much, much better. However, now it idles like $#!&. The towel is officially thrown in! I'm done. Getting to towed Monday to find out whether I will be fixing or selling. I love this little truck I just don't think I can afford to take it to garages for constant major repairs. Thanks for everyone's input. These past several weeks have been a real pisser.
  20. No. I'm going to reinstall the old TPS this weekend and then I'll try it.
  21. Turns out the O2 wasn't plugged in. Plugged it in and no change. I let it warm up and no change.
  22. No Obd 1 scanner. Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't suggesting you didn't know what you were talking about. I had conflicting suggestions. So, ultimately it will run worse without the O2 Sensor, but temporarily may run better?
  23. I don't understand. I have two guys saying don't unplug it because it will run bad and your saying unplug it cold. If I unplug it cold will it not run bad? What will that tell me? It's already running bad.
  24. I don't have a catalytic converter. Should I unplug the O2?
