  1. Not a lot has been done in the last week, been really busy with other things around the house and new model training for work. I did unpack and install my B&M mega shifter and get it installed with the console in the correct location so i don't punch the dash when shifting to park every time. issue i had on my samurai from time to time.Well that made my night after work tonight. Plan to get it out of the shop tomorrow for some better pictures it at right height. That and i need a picture for my PC background.
  2. Exhaust hung and back at right height tonigh. Updates will be slower from know on due to waiting on parts, and now am starting on wiring. but will give updates as i go. Till Next time.
  3. Here is some video of it running. https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZtuhFbaAjbZ6vuYU8 https://photos.app.goo.gl/yzLMVTiznZ5yRMrSA
  4. After a couple very close call with hydro locking the engine it was time for a snorkel, this had to be fully one off due to the space and well big engine. This worked for the street This is how you make it trial worthy That pretty much brings the build to an end here is the last pictures of it before i cleaned her up and sold her. All Cleaned up and with her new owner
  5. Two wheeling trips down and was time for a cage and rock sliders. Along with the finished paint.
  6. Time to make some bumpers that are worthy of the build, took a few weeks but it all went together in the end. The Rear
  7. It was time for the long process of wiring and making all systems talk to each other and work proper.
  8. Time to clean and paint the frame. Going back together Headed from my parents house to my old house for all the wiring to be done and the interior to be done.
  9. Time for some shock hoops and frame tie ins
  10. Trans tunnel needed closed up. and redone for the new shiftier. New Radiator to cool the 3800. Dual pass
  11. Lots of Chassis work and axles.
  12. The first weekend of tear down and first mock up. so Friday night through Sunday afternoon.
  13. The beginning of the Zuyovy, bone stock and worn out engine. Engine build Trans with adapter for the toy case
  14. So this will be a brief over view and lots of pictures of my samurai build i just sold to help fund the Showmanche build. 15. Got the tail section done today and welding up and the hangers on the body for the mid section. forgot to get some pictures of the hangers. I did get the new hangers bent to be welding to the exhaust.
  16. I just hope so. I plan to build it with enough room for a vortec if i want to add it later just for the fun of it. I like to be different
  17. After lots of time fitting and lots of bends and cuts i have the exhaust to the last muffler and just have to finish the tail pipe section. So i must be getting older cause i want a deep sounding truck but not a load truck. When i built my SRT-4 i put two 2.5 inch xr1 sportsman mufflers on it in a dual configuration because that is how it was from the factory but with now mufflers on it. was quieter at idle but loader at wot. so i added a muffler before the dual section and found it was deeper and was way more mellow at wot. So here is the exhaust build pictures. Pictures detailing how i made the bends for the cross member lots of setup time and turns out pretty good. This will get the thread up to date on where i am at on the build, plan to finish the tail section tomorrow and start to get hangers figured out. Working with 304ss has been a learning curve for sure. getting the welder set up, proper gas and wire to MIG with then fitting every v band flange after welding it due to slight warp age has made this process very long and tedious. The y-pipe toke 8 hrs and two tries to get it, the mid section has taken about six. have to cut very slow with the band saw on the pipe and wait for things to cool to minimize warp age on the flanges. As you can see the mufflers are made to be removable if need be to change the sound and tone if i want to or to just repair one. I plan to build straight pipe section to have on had if need be also. Till tomorrow night i hope to have some more progress to show.
  18. By all the calculations i have run with head flow, intake, cam spec between 500-600 hp and 450-550 trq.
  19. My original headers did not require me to cut but did not come in 1 3/4 primaries. that and they were damn near touching the firewall. I really liked the bigger primaries and the distance from the firewall for the cooler interior temps.
  20. Sorry to hear, but sacrifices have to be made for a vision of big horse power.
  21. So with all the engine accessories clearanced it was time to get the bed on it and check so clearances for bigger tires and to see how well i did. The wheels are 4" off set with now spacers on the 8.8 so it is a little narrow, i am thinking 1.5 inch wheel spacers, here some pictures of the whole truck and full compression to build the exhaust for the truck and to show some of the tightness keeping it high and tight. I will get the exhaust crossover pictures up this week end and it all works out have the rest of the exhaust built.
  22. So after my last build an 88.5 Suzuki Samurai which i did a a/c delete on it decided that a/c is a must for this truck down in GA. With a factory acc. drive kit on the engine and a factory a/c drive it would require more notching on the right rial. with that said i will be adding stiffeners to the outside to the frame rails and all the notches are of 1/4 inch. Speaking of my last project, it got sold three weeks ago to fund this build so i can get it the way i want it. But one toy gets to fund the next toy, all is good.
  23. After a four link is built then that means new location for the fuel tank and have to come up with a coil over set up that i can live with. My solution is a Aeromotive 20 gallon fuel cell, custom coil overs from a dirt racing shock builder friend, two new customer rear cross members. That and some really heavy duty upper shock mounts.
