Went to replace the tail light bulbs and in all 4 stop lamps there was this yellow stuff that kind of looks like dried up play-doh... is that something that is supposed to be there or is it something that the PO did that I should clean up? Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

1987 Metric tonne speedo cable
madog7200 replied to hakukamana's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
When you say bouncing are you talking about your speedo jumping in large increments? Mine will jump in 5 to 15 MPH increments but like yours starts and stops at 0... sorry if I'm high jacking your topic Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk -
One of your linkage arms on the passenger side are flipped the wrong way it sounds like to me... i had this happen and thought I was going to rip the whole truck apart trying to get it back in. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

Well none the less I'm just trying to see what it would look like, if someone has these installed or can work a tiny bit of photoshop magic I'd greatly appreciate it Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

Gotcha, well those are what I like and I was wondering if anyone had those on their comanche... i kinda like the idea of having another red jeep with the more rare factory gold wheels. I like things that are rare and different from everything else you see going down the road, hence buying the comanche instead of just another old work Truck as a daily driver Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

These are what I'm talking about. But I like the gold ravines too Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

Simply because I don't want to spray it on there and then in two weeks have chips, i guess I'm really asking about the durability because I'm not planning on spray canning it, They actually make a "professional" kit you can buy now

My old tj was red with the gold wheels that you have pictured, it was definitely different, i only ever saw one other red wrangler with gold wheels and it was a yj... the gold wheels I was talking about putting on the comanche would be the old gold cherokee lace pattern

Yeah that things a mack daddy -
Just wondering if anyone here has the gold wheels on the comanche... i actually had the golden eagle wheels on my tj at one time and I'm kind of partial to them. Just trying to get some ideas if it's something I want to try and accomplish or not?

Just wondering if anyone has plasti-dipped their comanche and could post before and after pics... I'm thinking about doing it to mine, but I'm worried about chipping and stuff like that.

I really wish I had the money to buy a nos set but there's just no way I can justify it right now... i am very interested in a chrome trim set if anyone knows where I can get my hands on some

might be a very newbie question
madog7200 replied to madog7200's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yeah i have been searching for a little over a week now and everything I can seem to find either has damage or are in super bad condition or cost the price of a first born. All I am looking good for is a set that has no damage and in decent shape... i am capable of cleaning a set up, but I'm obviously not able to fix anything damaged -
might be a very newbie question

But just for 100% clarity, the chrome trim around the tail lights should obviously be chrome and have somewhat of a mirror finish depending on wear and fading. It shouldn't look like silver paint? -

Yeah i have posted a wanted ad on here I just keep checking eBay. That guy was originally asking 560 for those lights which is ridiculous -

http://m.ebay.com/itm/85-92-JEEP-COMANCHE-PAIR-OF-SILVER-TRIM-TAILLIGHTS-STOP-SIGNAL-LAMP-LENSES-/322252242625?nav=SEARCH These are the reason why I'm asking... just wondering if these are legit or if they are something that someone along the way has concocted -
This might be a very stupid and newbie question, but I don't know and I don't want to make any stupid purchases... there are three types of taillights for our beloved comanches, black trim, red trim, and chrome trim... is chrome trim the same as silver trim? Or is a set of tail lights with labeled "silver trim" just a pair that have been painted silver I guess what I'm getting at is are the chrome trim taillights obviously chrome or is it a very loosely applied term? Thanks in advance all!

Wow... thats all I can say, oh and thank you!
