Hey guys I am looking at doing a swap from an ax15 to an aw4, and have a few questions. My main question is the wiring, I have a 1988 that the trans is going in and a 1988 that the aw4 is coming out of, so do I need to take the entire harness out of the donor and put it in the truck I am building? Other than the major components...trans, pedal assembly, shifter, TCU, what else do I need to pull out of the donor? Thanks for any help you can offer

Dang and I just ordered mine second set last week...... -
I have one on my truck, that I can pull and sell you if you still need one

Look at artec industries, they make a truss now to put the superduty axles in tj/xj that would make it where you could keep the coils, and not have to go to coil-overs

Hey guys I picked up a 1988 Eliminator this weekend for my daughter for her first truck, and she loves it, but is not really liking the wheels, so my question is what are they worth?? Not sure if I should try to sell them or just hold on to them for now????

I went back and looked and see what you are talking about, one more question, did you put anything under the bed to re-enforce the foot plates on the cage, or is it just bolted to the bed floor??

HP 44 and Ford 9 inch swap
tjbuggie replied to Dgduramax's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
On the 70's HP dana 44 you will need to find one from a 77 or earlier truck to stay away from the cast wedges.....Just and FYI -
True 4-link front long arm kit
tjbuggie replied to IronManche87's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Keep looking. Rusty's knows how to market their junk, but when (not if) it breaks they don't know you. I see people say this all the time but never say why it is junk??? What is it about Rusty's stuff that is so bad??? -

auto TPS on a 5 speed truck??
tjbuggie replied to tjbuggie's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
TPS is different in the auto has 2 sets of wires coming out of it where the 5speed only has the place for the 3 flat wire harness, just making sure they work/ read the same. -
Have been working on my truck and noticed I have an auto TPS and my truck id a 5 speed could this be causing my low end stumble and popping back through the intake??
-
Did tips 1-5 still having trouble. Also when I adjust the TPS I can reduce the stumble but then I get a high idle and poping at higher RPM. I did notice that I have a TPS for an auto tranny and I have a 5 speed, could this be causing problems??
-
Ok, bringing this back up, I have replaced the battery cables with new ones from mean lemons, cleaned the c101 and looked over the wiring, still have the problem. I did notice if you unplug the vacuum line to the MAP sensor it does not have the stumble, but runs very rich.....tried a new MAP sensor but got no change. It does seem to be less of a problem once the jeep warms up......any ideas on where to look now??
