  3. Diggin ur MJ very cool... What wheels and tires are you running if u don't mind me asking?
  4. Yeah, it will be fine. Pull the cover and make sure everything is in good order and go from there. Got YA!
  5. Thanks for the feedback guys The 8.25 I'm swapping is 29 spline from a 2000 XJ like i said i don't really intend to do any serious off roading so i don't think it would be seeing too much abuse so hopefully i should be ok
  6. thanks guys for the responses i'm only swapping the low pinion 8.25 in the rear don't plan on doing any extreme wheeling more like a daily driver and maybe an occasional weekend expedition looking at 4.5inches of lift and possibly 33's...can that work or no???
  7. looks factory...very nice
  8. how significant of a difference a high pinion is from a low in terms of lift?..
  9. thanks
  10. Can you swap out both front and rear axles from a 2000 XJ to a MJ?..and whats involved?
  11. Rockfrog you were right its pull to click between high and low beam but i guess it got stuck from sitting for so long so after a dose of wd40 and pressing that switch under the steering column a few times it works now high and low beam thanks guys once again for all the help...
  12. ok so i see a rod goin dow the column to a switch which when i pull on the lever the rod depresses the switch and I'm guess it should click but pulling the lever alone doesnt press it hard enough for it to click but when i use my finger to press it and also pull on the lever i can hear it clicking but the next thing is that when it clicks the headlights go off so i rellay don't know what to make of this
  13. interesting rockfrog..lett me try that right now....
  14. thanks for the suggestion but how do i get to that rod?.
  15. when you push forward on the lever on the steering column that should engage the high beams right?...or am i doing something wrong because the lever cannot be pushed forward i can pull it torwards me i guess for flash to pass light but can't go in opposite direction or maybe that isnt where you turn on the high beams?..I'm perplexed :dunno:
  16. updates please?????......
  17. kool thanks for the feedback guys
  18. I saw these bulb sockets hanging under the driver side dash they're the same sockets as the for the bulbs in the clock, climate control etc.. i put some leds in them and they work can someone tell me what they're for are they just footwell courtesy lights they go on and off along with all the lights on the dash via the headlight switch... Also this orange/black connector next to the cig lighter any ideas where it goes i think i plugged in everything on the dash correctly but can't find a place where it goes and it has power coming to it... the cigarette lighter isnt working either has a good ground but no power in that purple wire any ideas?
  19. ok ill check it out
  20. I hope so ..grounded it but still no lights on dash though checked all fuse under dash and everything looked good until i noticed every fuse had power even though the key wasnt in the ignition then all of a sudden no power to the 2 fuse shown in the picture even though i tested them a second ago and they were fine now no power is going to them don't know WTH is going on..any ideas?
  21. All fuse in fuse box hot even with the key out of the ignition is that normal?
