  1. I'm guessing it had to do with length and stability.
  2. Looking up "rescue green" it is close, but definitely a JK era originated color. But I too thought of the citron pearl first. https://www.google.com/search?q=rescue+green+jeep&client=ms-android-att-us&source=android-browser&prmd=sivn&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAmoVChMIlNjdubTzyAIVCz0-Ch0_EAIw#imgrc=mG-LKtdHConPiM%3A
  3. Fun fact. The manifold bolts are the same thread and length as the cross member bolts.
  4. If you want to do other seals/upgrades you could look for a 97 and get the better front axle along with the doors and nose all at the same time.
  5. You will have to transfer your speedo gear and housing from old to new though as they use different connectors and sensors
  6. I don't mind the new body swaps, but i actually did the exact opposite, I did new doors and panels with old dash. i just prefer the full window, and my original doors were rotted out
  7. One of my favorite colors ever!
  8. Ya there isn't too much real step by step or advice out there. Just a bunch of oh ya I did its
  9. I figured drawing it should make more sense then trying to explain it in words.
  10. Ahhhh sumbitch I think your right! I didn't think about that. As they arent side specific.
  11. here's some basic visual explinations
  12. Theoretically yes. Because it shifts in a circular motion. And your switching everything 180° by swapping the shifter tab up instead of down. Your hand lever stays unchanged, Just the t case shifting pattern changes
  13. ya these are the original side plates from 1989 haha. definitely well built. I'm not sure what the hole just infront of the cross frame is for, nothing was there when i bought the jeep. or what that ~1" hole just behind the big one is for.... and how overkill that large hole is for its puropse
  14. Here's mine installed
  15. Do you have it? The biggest thing is just what design your key tab is
  16. If its the straight one you face the angle backwards and use the center hole. It takes quite a bit to get the threaded rod the correct length to shift through all the gears smoothly. But it will work! Just have patience
  17. You take off the stock lever that faces down and uses a push motion and put the new one 180° to face up with a pull motion. So instead of the lever going front to back 2-4h-n-4l it goes 4l-n-4h-2. Of that makes sense. Also which one did you get there's an old and a new style that they have. Is it like a straight line of holes at a 45 degree angle or a circle of holes?
  18. No actually the "triangle" fender support goes in that big hole. The smaller slot just next to it is the sway bar. I never measured it with my gauge guide. But id say mines atleast 1/4in
  19. Good info. Thanks guys!
  20. got the plow mounted up!
  21. what if you mounted the xj roof rack rails to the mj bed rails? would the rack be wide enough? then you could mount the cross bars anywhere along the bed frame to accommodate skis/snowbaord/bikes etc... and remove when not needed? might be more convenient as it would be lower as well.. just a thought. not a bad idea if theyd fit!
  22. sooooo that's why I couldn't get my front rotors off of my 2wd when converting over to 4wd! I thought I was just handicapped.
  23. 2 door Cherokee rear panels work too, just not full length
  24. I like that bar, with no other chrome on the truck, it looks a little out of place, but othwise it looks fine, very clean truck too btw!
  25. good catch!
