I didn't get a chance to go deer hunting but my dad bagged a 4x5 bull elk in the Oregon Wilderness. I took us 5 hours to clean it and pack it 1 mile to camp. No wheels are allowed in the wilderness.

Thats a bit far from utah. You might try car-part.com, keep in mind that a dakota or toyota bar might fit with slight modification.

I found an old string about testing the oil pressure gauge. It said disconnect the sensor wire and turn the key on and the gauge should read around 80. Then ground the wire and it should got to zero. Mine is at 80 with the key off. With the key on it increases slightly with the wire off and with the wire grounded. I checked with the ohm meter and there is connection between the wire and the ground. Any suggestions for what to do next? Back ground: This is the '91 Metric ton that I posted in the pub. The mechanic said it had a blown head gasket or cracked head from running it out of oil. Actually what we found is that there is a half inch hole in the heater control valve that is in the middle of the hoses going to the heater core. I rerouted the hose to bypass the heater for now. The mechanic put oil in it and it is only a half quart low and there doesnt appear to be any water in the oil. I filled it with antifreeze and water 50/50. I ran it for a bit and there doesnt seem to be any leaks, but I did not run it long because the oil pressure gauge is not working. On a side note it knocks pretty good is there any magic substance to help it recover? ;)

Is that including shipping? I wonder what shipping is, cause I am pretty sure they are only like $10 at the pulla part.
-
It would help if you included were in the world you are, most folks won't be shipping a roll bar.

:agree: As stated above there is no repayment necessary. Gah when did I become such a softie.... my boss is askin why my eyes are red...

Should be able to find one on a Cherokee at the JY pretty easy.

I am guessing they beat up the original bed pretty good based on the condition of the tailgate. It spent most of its like in Portland Oregon so has almost no rust, they don't salt the roads there. I am waiting for the title to arrive in the mail, hoping today or tomorrow. The owner pulled the add off the classifieds so that is a good sign. :-) Another teaser:

I am posting this for the owner of the 91 metric ton LB that I am buying in Utah. This canopy is in portland oregon. It is a hightop, he said its about 6 inches higher than the cab. It doesnt look 7 ft, but he said it used to be on the truck and fit well. He beleives he has the keys for the doors. One corner of the rack on top is damaged. PM me and I will provide his phone number. Oh Yeah, he said he tried to sell for $150 some time ago and got no takers.

Teaser Pic. I agreed to $500 verbally, the title is not in utah yet. Only has one spot of rust above the windshield drivers side. Under belly is clean and coated. Tailgate is scratched up but not dented and latch works. rear bumper looks like a banana. According to the mechanic she ran it out of oil and it overheated warping the head. he put oil in it an it starts and runs but won't hold water. battery was dead so I don't know how bad it sounds, but I have a spare block anyhow. It had a bench originally but he fabbed some buckets to the bench mounts with fiber glass, couldnt see it by looking under neath, that should be interesting. i'll post more pics after I own it.

Going to look at a 91 Metric Ton 4x4 LB 4.0 AX15 today. Just wondering if that is even possible. Original owner says he bought it that way new. Engine over heated and is knocking. Body is said to be in good shape. $500 - fair price? I thought if it is the metric ton its worth $500 regardless. BTW, what are the probable gears?
-
Ack, so I need to go pull a cross member from the JY when I get around to replacing my peugot with this ax-15?
-
I pulled an ax-15 at the jy and the crossmember looked exactly the same as the one on my peugot? is there a difference?
