The hub assembly/wheel bearing is one unit should easily swap over.
-
What year is your old one? I don't see why your wheel bearing wouldn't be transferable as far as I'm aware all Dana 30s use the same wheel bearings. The differences that I'm aware of is pre 95 had weaker u-joints. And most pre 93 I believe had a CAD and 2 piece passenger side axle shaft, which even there you can and IMO should switch to the 1 piece axle shaft with larger u-joints. As for ball joints iv never heard of anyone reuseing them. Is there a reason you need a new axle since you've already invested this money in you old one?

Just curious if anyone has run 4.10 gears with 30x9.5x15 tires,4.0 engine? How was it on/off road?
-
Check out the lifts from BDS, I agree zones is probably the best off the shelf kit, only thing I'd prefer is the rear to have no lift from shackles and only the add a leaf. For a little bit more the BDS kits look okay. I'll be able to say more this weekend as I'll be helping a buddy install a 2" BDS lift. For around $580 it was a complete kit with adjustable lca. Only thing it's missing is track bar

If you have the end that goes into the throttle body in good condition I'll buy, as I live in Cali and all the yard parts are sun baked and cracked as hell.PM price and PayPal (:

I guess I'm being cheap at this point. Best I can get near by is $300 for 1988 with 170k miles and 4.10 gears. Probably gonna pick it up
-
Iv litterly been constantly scouting scrap yards and constantly calling ones that keep track of parts and constantly checking car-part in attempts to find a Dana 30 with 4.10 gear ratio. How ever i absolutely can't find one under $350 within 150 mile radius of me. All the price's I'm finding are (the cheapest) 280 to 350, and some even 400+?? I really don't feel these are accurate prices at all how every after so many places having similar prices I'm beginning to think its just me XD. Would you guys pay $300 for one or should i just have my local shop rebuild mine for $600 parts and labor.

Do you have any pics of the truck with the 3" lift before you put the plow on? I'd like to see how much the plow sagged the BDS coil springs. Dosent look as tall as other bds 3" kits iv seen installed, how ever those were on Cherokees. I just ordered a 2" kit for my friends build I'm assisting him with and am now thinking I should of got him the 3".

For all new leaf packs id go with hell creek, I love mine. I personally don't like hellcreeks complete kits because of the rough country parts used. I did my 4.5 inch lift not long ago and piecing it together was the cheapest route. Now just a few days ago i started i new project for a friend of mine and I just pulled the trigger on a BDS lift kit in the 2" I was not able to piece together a better 2 inch lift for the price and quality which i was surprised about since 99% of the time its cheaper to piece it together. How ever BDS do not offer full packs, but they are Full length add a leafs not short. Hell creek - http://www.hellcreeksuspensions.com/ BDS - http://bds-suspension.com/product?ma=7&mo=33&ty=39&yr=1986-1992 Edit- I can't vouch for the quality yet how ever when ordered with the kit i was able to get lower adjustable control arms with forged flex ends for only $99 that was pretty much a deal breaker for me. As stated I can't vouch for the quality personally but after a ton of research on BDS its hard to find bad reviews and they have a no questions ask you break it they replace it warranty.

Quick discos on small lift and rear shocks
Dom U posted a topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
After a lot of searching I thought I'd ask here. Are there any quick discos that work with only 1.75-2" of lift? Helping a budy build his new project, he would like to maximize his flex off-road and we all know what a pain it is to not have quick discos for our sway bar xD since a couple of our hunting spots need it to get there. we are going with the ARB 2930 Old Man Emu Coil Spring should net about 2" with bilstein 5100 shocks in the front. Also if someone has bilstein part number for rear shocks with 2 inch of lift thatd be amazing (: -
Rear Shocks:One end of the OME 60080 shock is a pin mount, so these will not work for the dual eyelet mounting MJ rear shocks. OME N76 shocks with the OMESB11 bushing conversion kit is a good option for the rears. Front Shocks: Front OME N35L shocks are no longer available. The 60052L Nitrocharger Sport is it's replacement and will be fine for the fronts. Makes sense as I couldn't locate anywhere with the ome n35 in stock. I actually meant to have the OME76 is actually what I meant to put up amazon had apparently replaced items in my cart due to running out of stock.. didn't kno they did that but they did lol.

Those actually look pretty decent for the price. Anyone here have experience with them?
-
Honestly no particular reason on the omix vs moog other than price (last I checked) this truck won't see any HARD wheeling that'll be for the xj so I figure theyll work fine. I haven't heard anything bad about the RE products so far, I ran the RE 1660 track bar in a previous XJ and has no problems with it, that's probably why I put the bracket there just wasn't thinking. What uca, track bar would you recommend?
-
Thanks bud, you helped tremendously.

Also what perches do you guys recommend for staying SUA as I'll be swapping in my Chrysler 8.25

I am in need of the bolts for a renix oil pump it seems non of them come with them and some magical way mine snapped in half in my hand ? I only need the longer bolt but wouldn't mind just replaceing them all. Iv tried searching quite abit, found some info on the bolts for a oil pump on a 2.5 but can't seem to find anything for the renix 4.0. Either a part number for the bolts if that even exist or the specs so I can go down to the local shop and get some thanks in advance (:
