  1. Seems it's been narrowed down to your low fuel pressure, however I know you stated checking all the vaccum lines but I'd definitely give the line from throttle body to map sensor a double look. My 88 pioneer would act exactly as you stated when putting it into drive or giving it gas. Ended up being that line even though I had checked it numerous times and thought it was good there was the slightest LITTLE crack in the hard plastic that was barley noticeable unless you slightly flexed it the right angle, would even seal and you could plug one end and blow into and it would seem air tight. Replaced it and my truck has ran amazing ever since. I'm by no means as knowledge as most on here but that's my experience with the exact same way your truck is acting. I'm sure the low fuel pressure is the biggest issue.
  2. How would 33s, with 4.10 gears with the lift mentioned above compared to 32s for on-road handleing? And I also like to make sure I'm correct on the lift since I'm staying spring on her with the Ford 8.8 and will be used in Hell Creek 4.5 inch springs I should expect about three and a half inches of lift correct? Would running the Chevy drop shackles with it counter the springs under effect of the one inch loss? I'd like to sit at four and a half inches of lift or very close but not over due to the fact I want the best on-road and off-road handling I can have and I feel that combination would work pretty well please correct me if I'm wrong with about this, that's why I'm posting thank you everyone (:
  3. What rear axle are you useing and soa or sua? I'd assume 3.55 gears would really suck with 4.5 lift and 32s but Iv been wrong plenty of times xD. I
  4. Ok here's what I'm thinking I want Ford 8.8 in the rear staying spring under axle with four and a half inch Hell Creek springs and level out the front with four and a half in. Rubicon Express coils from my understanding going to spring under with a Ford 8.8 you lose about in inch. Sitting on 32 inch Cooper STTs. With 410 gears. Now my my question is how how well will this setup perform on the street as well as off road it'll pretty much be a weekend warrior and daily driver. Also do you think that set up would sit level? Would 31 inch Cooper STT be a little better with the 410 gears compared to the 32 inch I like how the 32 inches are a bit wider. Thank you very much for any opinions you may have 1988 4.0 renix auto
  5. Thank you I was on my phone when I posted couldn't figure out how to find the link!
  6. Hey guys the other day I meet a fellow MJ owner and we were talking and have ran across each other on FB once before on XJ/MJ proud, as I'm sure most of you know that group. Anyways, we started talking about how there wasn't a group dedicated to certain regions/states for people to connect with another. Or if a XJ/MJ guy wanted to take a trip to said state region. He would be able ask people from there etc. Yes a lot of forums have sub forums for states etc but not.much actual dedication to a region or state. So I decided to creat a FB group for closer to home. Anyone is welcome to join how ever I would like to keep it smaller and focused on the region but I won't deny anyone with valuable and mature input and knowledge. Knowledge is power! Come check us out XJ/MJ Of The West Coast https://www.facebook.com/groups/1651459405133411 Thought I'd share incase anyone is interested in joining (:
  7. Hello guys. Well about a month of you some of you might remember I went through $#!& finding out why my truck kept dieing and narrowed it down to the ignition coil. Replaced ran great. Well now the problem is happening again so Wht would cause my ignition coil to short out so quickly?
  8. Yeah I hate intermittent crap its hard to track down lol
  9. Well replaced ignition coil runs exactly the same but hasent died yet. Will put some miles on her tomorrow and see what happends.
  10. Going to try a new ignition coil
  11. Would the cranksgarft vent hose being totaly clogged cause it to die? It is part of the vaccum system isn't it.
  12. Ill check them all out. It really Dosent seem to be electrical imo. Its normally when I'm letting off acceleration that it dies but I'd ileave it running it'll die just randomly. No change just instantly the engine stops.
  13. Its not the IAC, MAP or TPS. Fuel pump sounds great and was installed in November. CPS is new from November from Napa. I really don't kno what else to try. I'm startingto think something might be up with my ECU
  14. iv lightly cleaned my fuse box it appears in good shape and I have no electrical problems anymore.
  15. Just got done putting on the new map sensor I went ans Grabed from. Seems abit more responsive but still dies withen driving a mile died twice. The crankcase vent tube from the rear of valve cover has now caught my attention. It plugs into a nipple on the intake mani and is sucking air now u would think if u run the truck and unplug the end from the VC you would feel suction right? Well the hose is obviously clogged Napa already has one on the way for me. My question is would this cause my issue? When I unplug it from the intake mani my idle comes way up and seems more normal imo. Plug it back in and idle instantly drops. Isles the same if I cap the nipple with my finger so this tells me its completely cloged. Can I drive the truck with this unpluged to see if it is the problem?
  16. Fuel pump, filter are new from November. It Dosent seem to be fuel related pressure test were okay and held pressure over time.
  17. I think that's gonna be my route at this point. One sensor at a time. My vaccum seems to all be in order other than the one from back of valve cover to intake but I have Napa ordering it for me already. Think I'm gonna go grab a MAP sensor and start there
  18. I love the way that looks
  19. Just left it in park and idleing. Sat for about 5 mins just randomly cut off
  20. Narrowed it down to when I'm coming off the throttle is when she's dieing. I'm pretty clueless at this point iv tried everything I can think of. Really need the beauty running for work :/
  21. Well she's dieing a lot more. Instead of starting right back up its becoming really hard to start if it dies. If its been sitting over night and I start it starts right up. Dies once I give it throttle and let go of it.
  22. Yes this is the c101 connector and iv very thoroughly cleaned it. Will be eliminating it soon when I remember to grab the soldering iron from work.

  24. This ^ Also check the fuse on the radio it self. Was it wired properly? Also the radio should have a ground wire it self. It must be grounded properly. Look up the wireing diagram for your radio and make sure its all wired up right.
