Well here's an update. Got a lot of the rear axle work completed besides a dang caliper bracket that I thought was included with the new caliper :(. Of course there are brake lines to be run and shock mounts and shocks, but we will do that after everything else is done, flex it to check for shock and bump stop length, etc. Ready to weld Custom made spring perches, also gusseted the ends Artec truss Perches Paint Custom U bolt delete plates Bolted up! -
Reserving some space for my build thread. It's coming along pretty well. I've been updating my other thread but decided to make a more formal build thread once it's all said and done (well, you know what I mean :D). Going to reserve the first 7 or so posts for future editing.

I went and drove it a few weeks ago. It is super super nice.

Advanced Adapters SYE going in tonight. Contact James at Adam's Driveshaft for a dang good deal on a custom length driveshaft and SYE combo. Will install SYE, put JK D44 1310 yoke on and then measure for driveshaft. James will then make it, send it, then we install it and set pinion... weld weld weld then measure for shocks. Oh yeah, got the Artec rear truss to match the already welded up D30 front truss (which still needs to be modified for coil perches). Lots to do. Hope to have it done in 2 weeks. I'll make a build thread for anyone interested in the JK swap.

I was planning on being there with Rock Your 4x4, but unfortunately I will not be able to make it now. Have to be in Iowa at 12 on Saturday. Man, who needs to go look at endless corn fields. ;) Tell them to hit up the High Beam Offroad vendor booth. That's where I'll be.

He never posted a final pic in that one ha.

Jorge knows what he's doing! If you never saw his first build, you need to. http://www.tnjeeps.com/topic/1686-I'm-a-happy-camper/

Just like driving on the farm.

Correct. It's all over the local Facebook groups and forums. Someone going every Saturday and Sunday basically. I was on the first trip that our group started. Now I bet 300 different jeeps have been on it in the past year ha.

Looks good. Lol! The paint test wasn't ideal!

Also got some new seats! Out of a 2006 TJ Rubicon. Just have to fab brackets and I am golden.

You should consider doing the Dirt Devil. It persists of public dirt roads with creek crossing. Very scenic and a great trip to just get out and about. I really don't consider it a trail ride at all...

1989 Eliminator Restoration, lots of pics!

Paint looks great! Only issue with flat colors is you need to be easy on them. They are harder to clean and just take time and effort! He did a great job on it tho...- 32 replies

I won't be able to this go around, BUT. Once the Manche is done... You betcha. You semi-local guys should head to Pigeon Forge for the Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion on August 30th. Going to be a huge crowd!
