Its not a bad transmission at all. Of course rock bouncers will hate anything that isn't rock proof but for a mild truck, its ok.

I stand corrected on my lift, took all the crap outta the back of my truck (transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, spare tire, etc) and the rear raised up about another 1.5"! Damn, now I can take my 1" coil spacers and rear 1" shackles and probably clear 32" without cutting. Here's before I took the crap outta the back on 31's.

Correct. I used the AMC 2.5L head.

Also the crank is heavier than the stock 2.5L crank. Pontiac also used that crank in the race versions of the Fiero. Its the same effect as adding a heavier flywheel.

Old school (early 80's) Swapped the OMC for the AMC head because the designs and manifolds are different. This is just stuff I had laying around.

Go for it. There's no one currently making them so it would be wise and if the price is good, people will buy. You won't be rich but who can say no to extra income.
