  1. Wow, will definitely check that. I really want to get this car, but if everyone says it’s too dangerous I will just have to leave it. I’m definitely going to be going through it and making stuff as safe as possible. Would you guys suggest deleting the rear prop valve? It seems to work, arm is long gone, but seems to make a difference if I put it up or down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I also have a rear anti sway bar I will be installing. Car and dolly should be under 2,000 lbs, plus the car will be pretty bare bones, so less than regular curb weight. The car is a 1987 Honda crx HF. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thanks for the replies. Brakes will be changed, has new front bearings(2,000 km ago) but will pull out and inspect them. Has new rear shocks, fronts will be changed, will be outfitted with decent tires. All fluids will be changed, have a new clutch, timing chain and water pump will be done, alt and starter will be rebuilt. Driveshaft will be pulled and u-joints checked, and replaced if needing it. I’m not going for a few months, so I have time to fix stuff and make sure stuff is road worthy before heading out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. So, I’ve got an ‘85 Honda crx, and was planning to replace the rear wheel arches (rust issues in Saskatchewan), my buddy in Alabama has a rust free car he was going to cut the panels out of and I was going to come get them at a later date (he wants the car out of his yard). So, I had thought I’d drive down with my new car (bought a ‘12 Honda Fit, low miles), and give him a hand cutting the panels out. Long story short, he said “if you’re coming anyway, you can just have the whole car for free”. So, now comes my question, a Comanche should be able to dolly a less than 2000 pound car no problem, but what should I especially check on it? It’s been sitting a few years (windshield was leaking and hadn’t gotten around to fixing it yet) it’s a ‘90 2wd long box. Planning on putting a receiver style hitch on it, and have a new clutch for it (ax-15). Currently working through cruisers list of stuff to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It does remind me of it too, actually had contemplated about seeing if I could buy one before I found this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Had snow here for at least a month now! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Got a set! Thanks to PCO6 for shipping them out to me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Looking for 4 of these in decent condition, if there's someone close that has nice factory wheels that these fit on, I'd possibly interested in buying them as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. The bar is to adjust the angle of the seat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The current state of it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I bought it cheap enough, $200. Had no idea if it was worth a lot but had seen other 4 wheel bikes for over $1500, so I figured this would be a lot cheaper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I hadn't realized there was so many replies to this post, lol. Since a lot of parts were missing, some modifications have happened, although most are bolt on modifications. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Sounds good, my sister has Ford escort wagon with the 2.0. It's got over 215,000 miles and hasn't had had any real engine issues, other than having to change the timing belt a few times. However, it is dead currently. It seems that they have electrical issues. Just make sure you get one that doesn't have issues like that. I personally think it's partial cause was driving a lot of gravel, and getting stuck in the snow a few times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Check out redpepperracing.com on Facebook, there's lots of older ones listed that aren't "riced" out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. '84-87 Honda Civic crxs are a lot of fun, and will net you some really good mpg. That plus they're really simple to work on. Even the hatchbacks are fun, although they're not nearly as light as the crx. My project I got last spring:
  16. It's a nice truck!
  17. Rock auto should have stuff
  18. Lol, the engine has been thought of, but I think I'm going to just get it ready to go without one. If I were to put one on, I'd put this one on: It's a 2 hp lauson
  19. I'm thinking it's from the 70's. It's got 3 speeds for each person, and has front drum brakes. It also appears to have had signal lights at some point in time. I haven't had any luck finding any pictures to show what they should look like.
  20. Bought this a bit ago, and fixing it up for my grandparents. Anyone ever seen one? The brand is R&R and the model is Side by Side.
  21. Lol, I filled the whole trunk of my Ford Taurus with mj parts! Last year there was an mj at pick n pull in Calgary, they had a wreaked one, and one for sale too. Still wish I had bought it! It was light blue with a matching cap!
  22. The carpet probably looked like that, cause it had a full center console, which will make its way into my Comanche.
  23. I think it's by the yellowhead. It's the only one in Edmonton. http://www.picknpull.com/locations.aspx?View=Detail&ID=77
  24. I'm not sure if this the right place to post this, but there is an '87 2wd chief at pick n pull in Edmonton. It was pretty complete, I took some stuff off it, but for any Alberta members, it would be pretty good! Had a good set of tail lights, unfortunately, a drill will be needed to remove them. It's a 4.0 with a 5 speed. Has half decent bucket seats in it too.
  25. No, just picked it up from the wreakers. I have to pick up A brake light switch yet for it. I'm thinking to go with the Ford style switch, where it's just a button that the arm on the pedal rests against.
