My Radio Quit Working , Need Help :/
bradseals replied to bradseals's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
thanks for letting me know !! but I just went and looked over everything again and I feel like an idiot ! the radio worked before I started my heater core project so I thought there was NO WAY IT COULD BE THE FUSE!!! . . but somehow or another it was the fuse :( -
so over the past couple of weeks I pulled my complete dashboard out of my mj and the HVAC unit (I think that's what its called) and replaced my heater core . . I finally got it all back together without pulling out too much of my hair but my radio is not working.. when I switch on my dash lights the radio lights up but its unresponsive when I attempt to power it on . . I need to know if theres anything I may have missed, what I should check , and which pins in the connector will let me know that I'm definitely getting power. any help is appreciated and its the stock radio I'm dealing with

A Copy Of The Parking Brake Recall?
bradseals replied to XJs4Ever's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
my 1991 jeep Comanche also has this problem . the pedal will hardly even stay down when applied . I learned really quickly not to forget to leave it in gear one day after my jeep took off out a gas station without me :/ -
I also have my engine out of my Comanche and I happened to be smart enough to put the bolts back in the holes I took them from thank god but there are two bolts that hold the pump to the bracket I'm almost positive there 13 mm but I just used a 9/16 to get this one out (its was already loose and the socket doest fit too awfully snug but the bolts are two inches long (both of them from head to tip ) and both have washers that don't come off (there pressed on or whatever and the threaded part of the screw appears to be 5/16 wide with a tape measure but I'm sure what the thread pattern is exactly hope this helps and let me know if you need to know anymore bolt sizes I'm pretty much back at the same step as you reassembling

hey guys . I'm on the lookout for the clutch tube/hose/line (whatever the technical term is for it) . about two years ago back when my yee old Comanche was running I had to replace my clutch master cylinder , and in doing so the pressed metal fitting that plugs into the master cylinder had corroded and snapped in half . my uncle and I tried calling all the local parts stores and even the dealer and could not find a replacement for the line so we found an external style line at a junkyard. cut it in half and used compression fitting to mate it into the bottom half of my original. I know what your thinking . THATS INSANE!! AND DANGEROUS!! but it held me over until the engine developed a horrible low end knock and I parked it and began restoration. to this day two years later ive had an eye out at junkyard and online looking for this tube and have had no luck at all. I hopeing that someone out there happens upon this post and has what I'm looking for on a parts Comanche or Cherokee that's in good shape (not corroded) . I have an internal slave cylinder so theres a big black connector at the bottom before the line goes into the transmission (ax-15) and the regular pressed in (nipple) fitting at the top into the master cylinder. someone please help thanks for looking if you do and I really appreciate it , BRAD

I'm looking to buy a valve cover for my 1991 jeep Comanche and I'm finding loads of them that say they'll fit on a 1993 4.0 . . I want to know if these will also fit the 1991, and if not, what is the difference? I'm in the middle of a restoration and buying everything new never used so in the event that the 93' cover won't fit where can I find a nice (metal) cover for a decent price?

@onlyinajeep726 . . I supposed It couldn't hurt picking up one with the external slave . I'm just more familiar with the internal . .and ive looked into converting and its just more parts id have to find and learn how to put together haha but you have a point if I find a donor with an external setup I guess it wouldn't matter and I could just throw it in .thanks . and did you happen to know where I could find xj for a decent price?

hi my name is brad and I live in west palm beach fl (south florida) and I'm looking for a donor jeep Cherokee, it doesn't have to be running but at least fairly intact. I'm sure ya'll must be getting tired of hearing about all these guys converting their comanches to 4x4 but that's my plan. yes I know it would be much easier to just buy a Comanche that's already 4x4 but mine has sentimental value and unfortunately is only 2x4 . . that just the ways life is I guess. . anyways the parts I'm killing my self looking for individually are . . . . 5 SPEED 4x4 AX-15 (internal slave) NP231 / NP231j transfer case DANA 30 FRONT AXLE (I need to check my rear gear ratio .or use both axle from the donor) FRONT DRIVESHAFT any help would be really appreciated ive been working on getting my old truck (MY FIRST VEHICLE) back on the road for over a year now and have tons of new parts ready to go on including a brand new crated motor and I just want to get this out of the way first THANK yOU brad
