It's easier than that. I'm going to take the whole glass panel, and give it to the decal shop. Tell 'em, "Don't call me until it looks like this." Rob :D

I used to work for Ford as you know, and I never really had any big problems with these... Zippy little cars. People put a ton of miles on them. Rob

Have anyone to beat the starter while you try to crank it? I bet your solenoid is bad. Rob

Better yet, use Autocheck, which is ran by Experian, one of the Credit bureaus. http://www.autocheck.com/consumers/gate ... WT.mc_id=0 I've had better luck with them, and on top of that, they even show 22 records on the surface, more so than the 10 carfax lets on to. Rob

Pay for a carfax check, and you could see the state it was last registered in. The VIN is legit. https://secure.carfax.com/creditCard.cf ... me=&subId= Rob

Gearing down for the Diesel MJ. IL > PA > VA > IL

You mean like the time I picked up my XJ donor, ended up with 2 flat tires on the car trailer in the pouring rain on the side of the interstate, and had to take wheels and tires off of the XJ to put on to the trailer? Or the time I went to pick up the donor MJ and he kept taking things away because they "weren't his" and it came down to an extra $50 or me leaving? Then him offering me anything in the barn? Or when I picked up the long bed roll bar and almost ended up in the hospital because the guy who had it on his truck was an idiot, and wrenched the bar up when I was straddling the bed and he hard core pinched the boys? How about my trip to Neohic's place solely for a black interior, and the last minute decision to remove the whole rear interior of her car so we could take hers? Or the time I went to buy a shed for my MJ parts overflow, spent 4 hours taking it apart on a Wednesday night, then driving home late, and the trailer with the load of shed deciding that it was too cool to stay attached to the truck? Oh the stories... So many more too. Rob -
Nope. Only "Ton". The back window could also have a decal... Which I'll go take a quick picture of. Luckily, I have a piece of back glass laying around from Pat. Rob

Ask and you shall receive. From the '86/'87 Master Parts Catalog. Rob

iirc comanche12 is death, which limits what he types  he has had his vin ran by his "S.W.A.T" friend, with no information available, and he has also ran the vin at the DMV with the same results Deaf. I know, he's been to my house. We've talked MJ before. Well, written. I have much respect for him, and you never realize how much you take for granted. We had a laugh about how much texting must have changed his world. I know spoken english is a little bit different, and most the time I read it fine. This time its just more because I think he was typing too fast, and he got it all chopped up. Thanks for the new signature quote though. 8) Back to the task at hand. The PO couldn't have written the VIN wrong. Usually you send in the old title when you get it transferred, they take it off that. Run your VIN. They will have info available. IIRC, didn't you buy that from IN? Might want to check there. What is your VIN by the way? Help us help you. Rob

English man. English... Some of your posts are getting harder and harder to read. Grab the VIN off the dash, have it ran. Rob

Know a cop? I would look it up by VIN. Rob

Peter said he has an 18 foot car trailer, with a small dovetail at the back. He mentioned something about how it might need some work, so I am unsure... Plus, I don't know what the ramps are going to cost. It's getting down to crunch time, I won't have the time to overhaul it, and I am going to be strapped for cash. If we could work something out, that might be better. As I understand it from my boss and my co-worker with similar Chevys, if it has the tow package, it comes wired for trailer brakes. My boss has a GM brake controller that apparently just plugs into the dash, and that's all you need to do. I could see about borrowing the controller. Rob -

Think I'd be better off with the trailer? I was thinking dolly... If you are still offering, I might be interested... Think it's up to snuff enough to go to VA? Rob -
This came to me via whowey http://tija.org/active_forums/showthread.php?t=2172 That thing is some sort of wet dream for me. I've always wanted a Jeep wrecker, but an FC? Forget about it. Rob :D
