  1. Maybe just 2 sets of gutter clamps. I like the slant front. I agree two or three lights built in would look good. If you look at GO Jeeps site, you can see the rack on that black xj looks really good.
  2. It's a minor thing but the pin stripping sets it off. Nice job on the whole truck.
  3. There was someone on craigslist for a few years trying to dell an MJ w/350 chev. It had a big scoop and looked like slicks. The pic was small and very blurry and he wanted about 7 grand if I remember. Looked pretty cool from what I could see.
  4. Those do sound high untill you buy one for $750 and start trying to get it to that cond. I know, still before I even did anything to mine people offered $1500. I can get others for $1500 but would have to drive 5- 6 hours just to see it. Then end up dumping more $ into it.
  5. Black with tan int. No dents no rust at all. Needed a parts jeep and went to see it for $400 . The tranny went 1 year later and I never did use any parts. May pull the 4.0 as a builder/stroker so I can keep my 2dr running while it's being done.
  6. In case anyone wants to do the swap. You can use 2 or 4 door motors. You can use pass rear in driver front and so on. Just need to re bend a little. Locks are listed as front or back , but all are the same. Four door and 2 dr harness the same. You just don't use the rear or for MJ's no lift gate lock. Violet wire is pwr and you can run a 10 gu wire and 30 amp fuse and your windows will speed up. Go to naxja and look up greag smith power door lock fix. My locks slam open and shut , fast windows and pwr mirrors on my 2dr with 4dr main harness . I'll do my mj soon then a/c over the summer. Might try installing my tan country int while I'm at it.
  7. Forgot to mention My fan shrould was broken, I replaced it and a new rad cap. Upgraded to 94 up mech fan and clutch that I got for free from friends jy. All of these fixes I'm sure helped , but the main was the clean rad. Or possible in your case the aux fan not comming on. Hope that snow in your pic isnt recent, it's about 52 here today.
  8. I had an overheating prob and tried to flush it. When I openend the petcock nothing came out. I removed the rad and flushed it with a garden hose. There was so much crud in it that I had to use a wire/stick/screw driver at the petcock to get it to run out. Also connected garden hose to heater hose with lite psi to clean heater core. This solved my probs. Later on I had the prob of aux fan not coming on, which was due to bad ground at the a/c compresser. The aux fan should come on at about 210, if it does'nt you will overheat. I now have changed the therm and added a switch to control the aux fan. Everthing works great now and I never need to use the switch but it's good to know it's there.
  9. I bought por for my conferr rack on my 2dr. Decided to use on the rust on my floors, but only had a dime sized rust spot and repaired it. Then used E-Dead insul on roof, doors , floors and all other panels. Works great. Now to pull the rugs on my mj . Check for rust and do the same. I'll be installing pwr/seats/w/locks . Might as well run amp power lines and new speaker wire for the rear.
  10. a1awind, I would love to buy another mj except I have a 2dr xj, 88mj, 93 country, 2 forresters for my kids, my wife's astro, my work van and a beater 92 buick with 106k miles. Sooo, no room. I keep the mj and country at my mom's and don't want to get dis owned by her if I bring home another.
  11. You cheated, you started wih a nce mj. I started w a 2x with ba 5 spd too. My friend stripped a 2door just for the eng. I got the aw4, d30 and d35, comp and tilt/cruise/int wipe column.
  12. The orig jeep gamblers have smaller hub centers, but they are ".25 larger hub centers than the stock jeep rims . They are 15x8 and have 5.5" BS.
  13. Very nice white and blue mj's. I like the Olympic edition. But I really like the look of no rubber mouldings. Never noticed any rust on my mj but can now see bubbling above the mouldings and am planing on removing them. Nice job , both of you.
  14. Tweeters came on Laredo XJ. You can install 3.5" speakers. I have mine running from a small 300 watt amp that is also mounted behind the lower dash, if you don't have an auto. You could'nt hear the tweeters but the 3.5" coax sound great. They are run through there own volume control switch. Since I have an after market head unit I used the rear RCA's for the small amp.

  16. I got mine over the winter, brand new in the box for $250 all 5. But I still have'nt mounted them.
  17. It doesn't bother me if anyone needs or want's to get off topic. If you don't ask, you don't get.
  18. Getting back to the rims, they are 15 x 8.
  19. At 5'8 you should be good. Mine came with a soundbar in it and I still have room but I'm as far back as the seat goes.
  20. I've sat in those seats at my local alarm stereo shop. $350 installed , but they had them installed on a mock up. They are comfy, except for the fact that they are short in the leg area. Front to back. They feel like they will have a pinch point on the back of your thigh. Whenever I go there I sit in them and when I get back into my Laredo seats , aaah feels good. I have XJ waggy seats in my home office on office seat mounts and they are better. The waggy seats seem to be tighter and the Laredo softer. I also added a lumbar support in the seat and wow! I'm 5'10" so if your shorter you might be moore comfortable.
  21. AX15 drive shaft is shorter than auto. Easiest way would be to buy an AJ parts car and get everything except the drive shaft. This way there is no prob with tracking down parts. You can even con to 4x4 if you need or want to.
  22. Due to the adapter they sit higher. The slider is sandwiched between seat and old bracket. personally I find yhe MJ seats are are a little because I'm used to my XJ power seats which ride higher. I'm sure they fit better in the comanche.
  23. It was a 94 or 95 Xj. Fit right in w/no changes. Mine is a 92. But I think to make it easier if you have a renix model you can get the pedals and brake switch and clip out the connector to the sw out of the donor Xj. The newer models, I think 97 up have a dif push rod. Junk yards will tell you it doesn't fit and no price diff between the one you have and the dual. I didn't take any pics of the install, sorry. Make sure to get the manifold off in one piece with out cutting the lines and some have a bit plastic spacer between the fire wall and booster, you need it too. Doesn't take long to remove or replace. Connecting brake light sw and getting your wife to help bleed brakes after a sandwich will take longer.
  24. Yes those. Looks fast standing still. Might put them on the MJ since now my wife wants it. Quess I'll remove the SOA for her to DD it. Thanks
  25. Parts truck?
