  1. I finally got around to running my new (to me) scanner on my MJ. It's really cool how it shows all values and data. So, I made a video of my specs with the truck running and at operating temperature. I've been having an erratic idle issue for a while and just before I took this video I finishing installing my new wiring from Kelleyswip.com, the TPS was adjusted prior to this. The only possible issue I found today was my O2 sensor wiring slightly melted on the intake due to it not being it's holder, but the scanner still shows voltage from it.. Basically, if anyone can decipher anything from this, I'd be eternally grateful. https://vimeo.com/122933173

  3. But they only made diesel MJ's in 1986.. So something isn't correct.
  4. I'm not against spending money on quality, I just didn't think they'd be that much. Though $300 for a pair is much better than the $250 each I found them for.
  5. I just found them on amazon and holy crap are they expensive at $250 each! Does this mean you're selling your H4 setup?
  6. Can you post a link or a part number for them? I can't seem to find them on eBay.
  7. Self taught mechanic at Sears Auto. I'm in love with doing something different everyday and getting to figure out how the hell I am supposed to fix whatever car I'm currently working on.
  8. I don't even remember if mine are there or not.. I guess I'll have to check now.
  9. I got it in the mail a few days ago but it's been way too cold to put it in.. I did make an interesting find about my roaming low idle issue. I had the lines to the EGR capped off and I was trying to do something quick under my hood my hands started to burn from the cold. so I was rushing and I broke the capped lines open and now my idle stays between 700 - 1000 rpm.. Which is a lot better than before with 250- 600 rpms. So now I'm leaning towards the IAC being bad and starving the engine of air.
  10. I ended up buying this one. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=161584731649 Looks closer and is listed to fit too.
  11. I'd like to road trip out there one day and help relieve some of your spare parts burden.
  12. Is that a question or a statement? lol
  13. Is your motor a an HO or Renix?
  14. Are these the part numbers I need? He updated and says something didn't fit but didn't say if those part # have been corrected or not.
  15. That says it's for 232 or a 258. Are you sure it will fit a 242?
  16. Hello again! I've had my EGR disconnected forever now and I would like to remove it and block off the hole entirely. I have no real metal working tools, knowledge or even a place to make one. So my question is, can someone make me a block off plate? I'll gladly pay for it and your time if it's reasonable.
  17. I know, I know! Even if it is really tempting.. I have new wiring on order from Kelleyswip.com which will hopefully help somewhat and make sure I'm getting accurate readings.
  18. Now that you've got yours sorted out, maybe I'll swing by and you can give me hand with mine! lol
  19. I think it's worse here. On CC you can offer a part up for free, then the cheap "person" who wants it asks if you could ship it free also. True story. :shake: Bahaha! Really? That's mighty cheap and rude of them.
  20. Ok, cool. Now I just need to find a pair of those Dodge mounting brackets..
  21. Is there anywhere else to likely carry the adapter? Something about spending $25 on such a simple part makes me cringe.
  22. I want to do this to mine but, I have a Ford 8.8 in the rear now. I assume this changes what axle brackets I need?
  23. Does it happen to have good black seats in it? That's all I'm interested in.
  24. Thanks, but I know where it grounds to, I just don't know where it originates from.. There are a few black wires under there that are not being used and none have that loop connector on them. I should of located it and marked it before installing everything. I'm amazed that I got it all back together and working at all. :laughin:
  25. Can anyone tell/show me where the ground that screws into the dash itself comes from? I replaced my interior fuse box and everything works fine but I can't seem to find the ground wire..
