I fixed the clutch line for about 25 bucks. Went to the local auto/ag parts store and picked up a 1/4" x 30" brake line with the right fittings, a section of 3/16" x 24" high pressure hydraulic hose and two fittings to connect the pipe threaded hose to the brake line. It only took two 90 degree bends and just a bit of hand manipulation and the truck was back on the road in 10 minutes. I may get a stainless line from AA but this will work for now. The good thing about the long 30" brake line coming off the clutch MC is that there is no longer a rubber clutch hose close to the exhaust. This would make a cheap trail spare for anyone. Here's the new and old line for comparison and my "new" AX15... The fittings. The hydraulic hose connected directly to the slave. and the obligatory test drive poser shot. -

You should think about getting an infrared thermometer. They're not that expensive and it will tell you the temp of any component under the hood. Again, back to Pete's question, its key. You need to figure out if its actually overheating or not. These engines typically run at 210 or so, 4.0 right? I don't know what temp triggers the idiot light, someone here does though.

I've got two 10"s. But my boxes don't have enough airspace or depth. They're CVR10s that require .8 cubic feet for a Sealed Compact MEV (Minimum Enclosure Volume) to 3 cubic feet for a Sealed SQ MEV (Max Enclosure Volume). I've got some little boxes that used to house MTX 10s but they are about 1/4" too shallow for the larger magnets and depth of the Kicker CVR 10s. My idea was to simply build a box that was one single space/volume that stretched the width of the cab but had a recess for the amp in the center behind the console. I'll need to get a new amp eventually as these will handle 800 watts each (400 rms), I'm pushing an old 600 watt sony right now. Sadly my old Alpine deck finally bit the dust, it doesn't even power up anymore. Looking to get Kenwood Excelon deck just so the controls are similar to the Excelon in my ZJ which pushes 1100 watts on two Kicker DC12s. Its louder than a human being can tolerate. I don't know how the ghetto donk drivers can stand those huge 15" plus systems, the system in my ZJ is loud but its the clarity with the additional two 6.5" component sets that I cherish. -
A one row aluminum rad cools as good or better than a two row copper rad. Many manufacturers use aluminum now as OEM.

Took the MJ out to a new place in Tolar, TX and promptly blew the clutch line. Had to do the engine RPM to speed matching thing to get home. Fun day. Edit: another pic from a friend's camera. http://www.rocktrails.com/ -

There we go, thank you brother. -
I blew the clutch master to slave hydraulic line wheeling today. Anyone know of a source for a stainless steel braided replacement? Advance Adapters has them for TJs, I may try one of those if needed.

An old welder I once knew always said to me, "A welder is only as good as his grinder". I mean that the piece to be welded has to be ground down to bare metal and cleaned well (acetone, MEK or similar), otherwise the weld will be contaminated. Looks like you did that. I'm no CWI and can barely weld myself, yours looks better than mine. If I had an extra 220 hook up, I'd be in possession of bigger welder, for now I have a little jobber too.

Looks good, any welder is only as good as his grinder.

If you look up the Card's history they've come back to win 5 outta 6 world series after being down 2-3....heck of a game. Not to mention they've got ten wins under their belt.

The problem is this fool umpire calls any pitch a ball unless it's swing and miss.

Then as I've been bashing J Hamilton for not producing in the post season he finally cranks one.

One strike away and Cruz choked, didn't know where the wall was.

All this excitement and not one of us has come up with a plan to steal this truck. If those clowns Clooney and Pitt can knock over a Vegas Casino, we should be able to get this thing to a secure CC specific location before they even knew it was gone. We'll need: Someone with an EMP device large enough to knock out power to the neighboring three states. 24 tasers for 24 willing CC members. 2 gallons of chloroform. A giant ice cream truck (its actually an enclosed car hauler disguised as an ice cream truck, they'd never suspect it). A man named Robert Paulson and 400 lbs of human fat tissue in 55 gal drums and a bunch of big pots to cook it. An Aston Martin with the underwater package, very rare. A sonic screwdriver, available only if you know a Time Lord. Lucas McCain's modified Winchester Model 1892 (that one is for me, sorry Jim). A TT Special 650 Triumph motorcycle, they are very good for jumping over barb wire, just in case we're caught and thrown in a gulag. A birthday cake with a couple of files baked inside. A Bozo the clown costume (more on that later but its for the distraction, we'll have to flip for who has to wear it) and four bottles of Pasion Azteca, Platinum Tequila by Tequila Ley. For the celebration when we get it home, we'll all get trophies just for our game face. If I've forgotten anything let me know in person. Best to go radio silence until mission complete.

Realtors are a waste of money at 6% unless they work the price lower than their cut. 3% may be alright....next house I by will be FSBO, only a 500ish lawyer fee for title work and your done.

This is turning out to be a great series for sure. These Cards have a great history and they've shown why they have the second most world series wins second to the Yanks. Its still up in the air since we're going to St. Louis for the next two games. Even though we're ahead, we can't count em out.
